I agree with mottdon, the Orc model as such is not too bad - it is mainly the paint job that is sub-optimal. The Engineer, however, does not have such redeeming quality.

I just can't get over the arms, they look like a paper doll, also that bent shaft for the great axe is just hideous in my opinion.
Did any one get that file for the 3d printed dwarf statue by the way? Would love to see one. Might want to make one for a slayer unit filler.

I hate the bent shaft axe.
It irks me.

Well, manly tools come in different shapes and sizes of both shaft and head. It is true, though, that this one has an extraordinary, rather impracticle bent. And as larabic indicates: size does matter, but not without thrusting power. The largest tool will not do you any good, if you cannot raise it for the occasion.

Could you have fitted any more innuendos into that sentence lol

I know this a bit late (only noticed it now myself) and not actually in the New Releases department either, but AoW currently have all their plastic regiments on a sale: link

I like it with the Ankylosaurus inspired tail.

Does anyone know if the humans that AoW do are true scale 28mm or heroic scale?

They're heroic scale. Felix (briefly) sculpted for GW, and a few of their other sculptors did too (e.g. Gary Morley). The models are very much designed to be GW substitutes.

I think that sculptor is Rikard from Lustria-Online. Nightbringer or lordofskullpass could probably tell you better. He's done a few other pieces for AoW. Cool guy though! He has some great sculpting techniques and tips there!

That reminds me, he used to have a thread on the AoW forum showing off some WIP sculpts (until they took their forums down for some reason - maybe tired of people asking for plastic dwarf warriors?) I'd love to see them release more of his stuff.
