The engineer is ok i guess, the orc is just a mess. Their new stuff has just been so busy and blocky. Just hard to look at in general, probably even harder to paint. Yup Too busy is my major complaint with many newer models these days. It subtracts from the overall look of an army.

I actually really like this as a terrain piece! I could see opening the mouth on that anvil and using the top of his head (where the flames are) as a vent tube. Could make a cool Dwarf Blast Furnace. I could even see printing off enough of them to line up one end of a table top, then printing off a few columns, for a spectacular table top scenario!

Avatars of War have redone their website - didn't bring the old forum back, unfortunately, as it was good to see them get asked every month for their dwarf warrior kits - now it's just facebook that'll be on. I've worried about AoW's long-term viability before, and seeing a new website is a positive sign that they're going to keep going. Maybe now GW have scrapped their old dwarf warriors, AoW will do theirs now? Anyhow, it seems they're now selling printed versions of their terrain (all Dwarven statuary) that was previously only sold as 3D printable files: avatars-of-war.com/collections/ready2print-printed-models

They've previewed a couple of photos of a Salamander they've got coming out soon: Presumably by the same person who did their recent Razordon. While there's lots of Lizardmen stuff that's been coming out recently, this one looks good, and should be more readily available than the Lost Kingdom Miniatures stuff (which they don't seem to be stocking after their kickstarter) plus cheaper.

That’s awesome, I was hoping they’d release one after the Razordon. The chap who sculpted that did say he had a few other things in the works but not sure if this was one of them. I always preferred the older salamander model with the big sail and disliked the more recent one (both sculpted by the talented Trish). The lost kingdoms one is an incredible model and I’ve been checking the site waiting for general release but I think I can see myself getting this instead (if only for the cheaper price).

Lost Kingdom put a note on their facebook page about that a few days ago: VERY IMPORTANT!! STOCK UPDATE: Hello everyone! Many of you have been asking us if out-of-stock models of Cuetzpal Empire will ever be available again. We have been working with the idea of satisfying the big demand, but as you know, we are a small company and it is causing us a significant delay in the preparation and development of our next project (for now secret). So after much thought, we have decided to take a step forward and sell the stock we have to date, as it is, and focus on the next project. These will be available in the online store next Wednesday, October 16th at 12 noon (Spanish time). Once they are finished, they will not be restocked until after the next campaign. It looks like they put that stuff up around 21 hours ago, so it's probably mostly gone now.

That's too bad about the Lost Kingdom stuff. Looks like they're just going to be surfing from one Kickstarter to another. Sad thing is, that's probably a better business model for small companies than keeping lots of stock for websales.
