I just found enough time to check out his battle 05 vs Cullen's Empire. OMG. That was some of the WORST dice rolling I have ever seen. ALL of the Warhammer gods must despise Cullen! Sad thing about it, you could hear the frustration in his voice about half way through the video. That's too bad. And this is what happens to him pretty much each and every game. lol... That is so spot on. I always feel for the guy.

There is a new "battle report" on mountain miniature gaming. Its not really a battle report but more a demonstration of what can go wrong if you challenge the dice gods on a bad day. After 15 minutes its over but it has one of the most hillarious and entertaining endings I have ever seen.

I have a question for the group overall here: Do you prefer video Reports to written reports? If so, by how much? Like "I don't even like reading reports, video is 1000x better", or indifferent? I'm debating whether to go all-in with video reports, or continue the old written reports from www.livewaaaaagh.com . I have the equipment and such, so all that aside, I'm trying to see what to do. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't watch video reports at all - I've just never got into them. I love reading reports; before I signed up here, the only recent 8th edition reports I could find to read were on your blog.

Live! I really appreciate seeing the game and the decision process in the playing! I’ve watched all the MiniWargaming vids, and enjoy them, mistakes and all!

Yeah but it feels like every Rule is wrong I just finished watching and you are right, they got a lot of rules wrong, especially concerning the kadaai destroyer. But it was none the less cool to see the destroyer and drazoargh face off against a horde of phoenix guard. livewaaaaaghI like both but I would prefer video reports because there are hardly any new quality video reports these days and also because one can better paint while watching.

Yeah but it feels like every Rule is wrong This is the crux of just about everything I've seen these guys do. Ash from Guerilla Miniature Games, Owen from Gaming with the Cooler, and all the guys over at Miniwargaming (they're all buddies to a certain extent and game/play together; Ash even used to work for Miniwargaming before starting his own channel). Doesn't matter what game system any of them play they CANNOT remember rules and are constantly making rules mistakes to the point of distraction. It's gotten to where I can't/won't watch battle reports from these guys anymore, except for the entertainment/human interaction factor. But I'll never be able to recommend these channels if you're HONESTLY wanting to see what a game system looks like. I have a question for the group overall here: Do you prefer video Reports to written reports? If so, by how much? Like "I don't even like reading reports, video is 1000x better", or indifferent? Any feedback would be appreciated. I like both.

I like both. Vids for when I’m cooking or washing up and written for train journeys or lunch breaks at work. sedge this chap (sword master) wrote loads of reports back in the day, focusing on msu high elves (though he now plays KOW almost exclusively). Worth a read if you have an hour or 500. swordmasterofhoeth.blogspot.com/?m=1

I just get so much more out of written reports with still photos. Plus if it's a bad video, you would just turn it off, whereas a bad write-up I will still glance through and maybe find a nugget or two of useful information. That being said, I suspect videos are more popular...although, does it really count if one focuses on getting the laundry folded correctly while the battle report runs in the background?
