Nice! That's a great deal! I want to add another T-tusk and 2 more S-hornies to my Ogre army too.

About 4000 points right now, but that's a fairly small army for me. I only started it at the beginning of this year. Most of my armies are over 8K and 4 of them are over 10K. Empire is my largest at around 14K.

Anyone had any anecdotal experience with the Thundertusk or Stonehorn in the past year or so?
I feel like the Thundertusk stone thrower/ Harpoon launcher may come in handy.

Anyone had any anecdotal experience with the Thundertusk or Stonehorn in the past year or so? I feel like the Thundertusk stone thrower/ Harpoon launcher may come in handy. So far I have had two games with 2 stonehorns and a thundertusk. I versed orcs and beastmen. I walked the thundertusk up between my ogre blocks each time and I found the shooting to be underwhelming. But the ASL aura is very good! Really helped my bulls get in some combat rez before getting cut into, even ironguts performed better because you are essentially trading blows. The stonehorns I ran on the flanks, one was a hunter. The regular stonehorn failed his frenzy check and was chasing ungors for one game lol but the orcs game he hit a orc chariot and blew it up on impact, then got a flank charge on some black orcs. Managed to grind them down to the unit champ who had finally killed it. So great performance there. I feel without the charge, the stonehorn is lacking, So it is really important. Essentially a chariot. The hunter stonehorn was better at frenzy checks, but being a character mount opens up the usual problems. Being challenged out by a unit champ is annoying. I think I will go 3K next time to take 2 stonehorns and a thundertusk in rare. And will use sabre tusks to block my own unwanted charges. Overall I enjoy using both models and will keep doing so.

Used a Stonehorn for the first time in a game two days ago. Loved him! I will definitely assemble the kit I have lying around as a stonehorn and use them both in lager games.
And I almost regret assembling one kit as thundertusk all those years ago. I tried him out in a couple of games back in the day but never felt i got my bang for the buck. The ranged attack was as other write underwhelming and i found it difficult to fit the thundertusk close enough to the combats due to it's large footprint. I preferred having more ogres in B2B with the enemy than blocking that space with the thundertusk. So it has been in a storage box all those years.
