A Beastmen army book was never written for the Eighth Edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. Although the Beastmen army book for 7th edition was one of the last 7th ed. army books, and presumably written with 8th edition in mind, the book falls sort of par compared to other army books (though using a Beastmen army as part of the Legions of Chaos army in Warhammer: Glottkin fixes some problems). Even so, the 7th edition Beastmen book lost something in my eyes. Under 7th/8th edition they became just another kind of Orcs & Goblins army - Gors (Orcs) and Ungors (Goblins) backed up by chariots and monsters. On the other hand, the 6th edition Beastmen army book, Warhammer: Beasts of Chaos, perfectly captured the character of an unruly host of chaotic Beasts with a unique playing style. So in attempt to update Beastmen armies for the Eighth Edition of Warhammer, I decided to update the 2003 Warhammer: Beasts of Chaos army book for Eighth Edition, rather than updating the 7th edition Warhammer: Beastmen. As always, I appreciate all comments, thoughts, and opinions regarding this erratum, and please try it out in your games of Warhammer. Happy gaming! Note: you will need a copy of Warhammer: Beasts of Chaos, Warhammer: Warrior of Chaos, and Warhammer: Storm of Magic in conjunction with this erratum. I’ll have to get to my folks and dig out the old book as haven’t looked at it for years!
Edit: I do agree that Dragon Ogres should never have been taken out of the Beastmen book.

I like the inclusion on Tzaangor, Mino Shamans, and the stuff that was shifted to Warriors, but I was never a fan of the mixed units from that era as it didn't gel with the fluff on how Gors looked upon Ungor. No self respecting Gor would allow an Ungor to join his lot of proper Gor.
Aside from that, it looks good!

that's my only hang-up too. Ungors and Gor units being mixed made things...difficult. Not to mention all my ungors have been rebased to 20mm squares and there's no way I'm going through that debacle again changing their bases.

Years later (now), I appreciate it a lot more. In particular because 1. It works well in 8th edition (if 8th edition is about big units, it helps a Beastmen player to make cheaper and larger units of Gors with Ungor 'fillers' in the back). 2. The mixed unit does give the visual that Beastmen attack in large, disorganized mobs - which I like. I did include an Ungor Raiders unit so that you could still have Ungors on 20x20 mm bases in units of their own.

As always I appreciate the great work you do Kevin, I'll need to go through this with much more attention a bit later with the relevant books besides me.
I take it that this supercedes the Tzeentch add-ons you did earlier as it contains them?
I've only had a quick glance at this but I noticed that you changed Centigors to Warbeasts from cavalry. Aren't Warbeasts stompable?
I'll certainly be using this as the basis for the Silver Tower Ogroid Thurmaturge model once I get round to painting him up.
