Simple question with an unclear answer. What happens if you cast Savage beast on a character riding a chariot? Since savage beast specifies the entire model as getting a bonus, where do you get the bonuses? In addition to the character, do: Each mount and each additional crew gets the bonus? Each mount, each additional crew, and the chariots impact hits get the bonus? Each mount, each additional crew and the chariot get the bonus strength, but the chariot still rolls the normal number of impact hits? Some other resolution I haven’t thought of?

In principle, the mounts and crew would get the bonus Attacks and Strength; the chariot would get the bonus Strength for its normal number of Impact Hits, because, while Impact Hits are close combat attacks, they are not Attacks.
Alternatively, you could extrapolate from the following FAQ:
BRB Official Update Version 1.9, p. 14: Q: Can spells that pick out individual models, even if they are in a unit, choose what is hit when targeting a model with multiple locations? For example The Fate of Bjuna is cast at an Orc Warboss on a Wyvern, the caster can choose to target the Warboss or the Wyvern and it will be resolved against the Toughness of the target. (Reference) A: Yes.
Don't be flustered by "multiple locations." Other language versions (like the German) have here "several parts."

All these years my Bretonnian Duke's horse should have had 4 S6 attacks... Typical!

I’ve discussed this particular question with my regular group, and we are working out an errata to resolve this and a handful of other issues. Essentially we will change the wording of characters on mounts (page 104) to create a multi model unit on a single base, which should clarify where separate stat lines can represent separate targets on the same unit. As part of that errata we are also talking about removing the template targeting rule on page 105, to limit the damage from cannons and stone throwers on ridden monsters (we like monsters AND cannons in my group)

Regarding targeting ridden monsters: I have been a proponent of returning to the 6th and 7th edition rules, where template weapons followed the rules for normal shooting, i.e. you randomised the shot between character and mount.

That's exactly how I will play templates.
And limit the spell to the character... As the fluff would describe it hehe
