Hi all,
inspired by the conversations going on in the Tomb king subforum, I wanted to start some conversation here for Lizardmen. And the first question is: who is your preferred flank holder. What unit or monster do you usually use to hold a flank? Is it the Bastilodon's 2+ armor? A Stegadon? Even a Carno? Or, do you prefer cavarly with Cold Ones? Or.. are you like "what flank, my Temple Guard and Saurus are it?"
Discuss!

I normally like to play with one offensive flank and one defended flank while the center advances or holds depending on my opponent and the situation. For the defended flank you can't go wrong with Skink Skirmishers, they are really easy to use as redirectors, take up decent board space, and are generally annoying to deal with because they are so cheap that most enemy attacking units will have trouble making their points back if they only fight Skinks most of the game. A secondary option that also works pretty well is an Ancient Stegadon. The Stubborn T6 is really hard to shift and with S6 it can hit back better against the enemy units coming after it than a normal Stegadon, though a normal Stegadon could do it in a pinch.
I wouldn't use a Bastiladon as they will be overwhelmed with static CR as they've not got Stubborn and their S4 is just depressing so they will break quickly as they kill little. A Carnosaur is far too expensive and far too frail to be on defense.
