So, I'm trying this again. I've tried to keep many project logs over several forums in the past, each one has fizzled out and failed. In each one I have made grand promises, failed to live up to them, and gotten discouraged. This time it's different, no plans, no promises, just a record of the miniatures I paint for use in 8th Edition fantasy. So, without further ado. Right now I'm painting... Ogres. These are the classic Oldhammer Golgfag's Ogres Regiment of Renown. They are very small by today's standards but I've grown to like them quite a bit over the course of painting them. They still need to be based of course, and eventually more need to be added to the regiment. That's all for now.

I love the old style ogres. I never did learn to love the newer ones because of it. Great job on these.

Very nice I am all for having only 1 paint log, there is no way I paint enough to spread it over multiple threads!

Cheers to everyone for the comments, glad you all liked the Ogres, there are more of them coming but not tonight. Right now I'm painting... Undead & Mercenaries First here are 2 skeleton crewmen from the old Screaming Skull Catapult, the Catapult itself will be forthcoming once I find all the pieces. Then here are an unfinished set of armored skeleton command, they'll be finished soon. Though then it'll take me some time to hunt down the actual armored skeleton models for them to command. Finally here are two Mercenary sellswords for my DoW force. These two are themed as Kislevite mercenaries, the shirtless guy is a dismounted Ungol tribesman, the other is a regular Kislevite soldier. Hope everyone enjoys these.

I really like the glowing eyes on the undead models. It really makes them pop.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the love for the miniatures. Sorry it's been a while since I updated this, it's been a very busy couple of weeks at work so I haven't been painting much. But, right now I'm painting... Undead and High Elves. Got the basing done on the Catapult Crew and finished the musician for the armored skeletons, such good models all of them. And my undead will definitely all have the eye glow, I did an undead army for a friend years ago without glowing eyes and always regretted it. The High Elf (4th edition plastic spearman, as I'm sure you all know), is a tester piece for a small High Elf force that I started picking up at a gaming swap meet I went to this past weekend. I've been enamored of these models for a long time, I usually don't like monopose too much, but it's always seemed to work for hyper disciplined troops like High Elves. Hope to get another update out faster than this one.

Great work here, I love all these old models and the painting job is top quality.
I always wanted to get some of these classic ogres myself to use as unit filers for my Empire army. Didn't get the chance to grab them yet though.
I am also planning to buy 2 screaming catapults to use as trebuchets in my Vampire themed Bretonnian army.
Keep it coming !

redknight Thanks man, I'm really enjoying your Brettonian log, glad to hear you like my log as well. I've got a stash of Brets that I'll get to one of these days myself. Well, it was time to return to my best love of Warhammer, full units of chaos dudes. Right now I'm painting... Putrid Blightkings. These 5 will get me up to 11 Blightkings painted when they're done. Are they the best unit in the army, definitely not. Are they some of the prettiest Nurgle Miniatures ever made, definitely yes. Still a lot of work to be done on this lot, but I'm at least close to done on the metals on all of them. I expect to power through these by the end of the week and be on to my next bit of random painting. Cheers.
