redknight Thanks, I do really love the Blightking models, and I'm keeping things coming as day as I can. Right now I'm painting... Blightkings, and also Gutrot Spume, just to complete the unit. So, when we last left off there were five partially painted Blightkings, these are now complete: I also finished Gutrot Spume who was kicking around my paint station for the past several years waiting to be finished, he has some cool details that you don't see until you paint him, like these eyes on his back: These five Blightkings and Gutrot make a cool little unit: But, I actually already had some other Blightkings from when they first came out, this is 5 stock from the kit and one extensive kit-bash to make a 6th: Which means that I now actually have a badass huge unit of Blightkings: Well, that's been a fun project, I'll likely expand it again someday as the models are just that good. But for now, I'll be moving on to something with a little less intricate detail, and likely fewer pustules.

Those eyes are cool. Also, while I'm not normally a fan of Nurgle, I like your Blightkings, particularly the colours - typically everything is different shades of green, but you've got some good variety in there.

Yeah, I don't really like anything Chaos, but if I did, those Blight Kings would be really tempting for me. Great job!

Yep your colour scheme is very sweet and a complete break from the normal. Very nice indeed.

Well, I've let this languish a bit embarrassingly long, but that doesn't mean I haven't been painting. Thanks to everyone for your generous comments about the Blightkings, I truly love the models. I've been ploughing along through the forces for the Battle of Volganof. So without further ado, I've been painting: Khorne Marauders Obviously these are from AoS, but they fit just fine on 25mm squares and they certainly look the part for Marauders. I have another 20 of these that I'll get done someday, but they won't be part of Volganof, so they're still waiting. Bestigor Volganof calls for a massive unit of 45 Bestigor, so I've been pulling out all my different ones, even the venerable and kind of ugly plastics. Minotaur I love this old miniature, he's Slaaneshi, obviously, and despite his age, I think he holds up well. Skullcrushers Again, Volganof calls for a huge unit of these, 19 of the suckers. I only had four painted already so this is where much of my painting time has been going. These four put me up to a total of 8 (I know one of these is missing a shield, I'll get to it), so there's still a long way to go. I know this is a bit of a long update, I'll try to keep them more frequent and shorter in the future. Kaltheras

What a lovely update. I like your chaos bases.
I appreciate all Beastmen posts and the Khorne Marauders fit very well.

I like the variety of colours you've got amongst the Skullcrushers - it makes a change from the usual sea of angry red.

Finally here are two Mercenary sellswords for my DoW force. These two are themed as Kislevite mercenaries, the shirtless guy is a dismounted Ungol tribesman, the other is a regular Kislevite soldier. Hope everyone enjoys these. Interesting interpretation of the Hail Caesar Celts. Have you seen the Middle Earth Dale and Lake-Town figures made by GW? The one thing I didn't like about the Hobbit films was that they made Dale and Lake-Town pretty much a Middle-Earth interpretation of Medieval Russia, but that doesn't stop me from seeing these chaps as being great Kislev proxy infantry:
