So if last year was my Year of the Dwarf, this was supposed to be the Year of the Greenskinz. Yet it's only in June that I've finally started painting them, but oh well. I've got a decent sized collection of Orcs & Goblins that I'd like to make an effort to get painted up over the next few months. I don't envisage achieving what I did with my Dwarves, and getting the whole lot done (until I bought more) but I'd like to get a good amount completed. To give me something to work towards, I'm intending to take this list (or something very similar) to Riotville next year (March-ish): Savage Orc Shaman (general), level 4, Wyvern, Fencer's Blades, Talisman of Preservation (445) Savage Orc Big Boss, BSB, great weapon (104) 30 Savage Orc Big 'Uns, AHW, full command, Big Stabbas (385) 5 Forest Goblin Spider Riders, short bows (70) 18 Black Orcs, full command (251) 5 Orc Boar Boyz, shields and spears, full command (135) Arachnarok Spider, Flinger (320) Snotling Pumpwagon, every upgrade! (90) 1800 points It fits in most my favourite O&G units, particularly the ones that made me start the army - forest gobbos/spiders, black orcs and savage orcs. Plus the gigantic Mierce wyvern, and my converted Pumpwagon. Anyhow, I've finally made a start and here's 20 of the Savage Orc Big 'Uns (all I have for now) plus the Savage Orc Big Boss: Riotville model count: 22/62

So awesome. I'm considering adding Orcs & Goblins to my repertoire at some point. I'm looking forward to following this thread.

that is a mighty wyvern! I really dig the paint job on the beast, the transition from yellow-ish belly to the green-ish back to the dark green scales works well.

The shadespire boss IS a great model. I think I had breezed over it initially due to the horrible yellow paint scheme GW gave it but seeing it in your post has me thinking, can you have enough Orc bosses?

Loving that Shadespire boss on the square base. How does he compare size wise with the old Black Orc big boss?

Thanks for the comments Loving that Shadespire boss on the square base. How does he compare size wise with the old Black Orc big boss? He compares favourably: He does have one foot (the back right one) raised on a mound, and there may be a half millimeter extra plastic under his other foot from round base I didn't clip away. Even so, he's definitely bigger and bulkier - which is what Orc Bosses should be.
