The squig gobbla is an amazing model, I like the paintjob on it. I should do mine, but I keep getting distracted by other models...
Keep up the good work!
Cheers, WGG

Thanks! It's a really quick model to paint. Go on... let it tempt you!

The Arachnarok is done! It's a really cool model, but not fun to paint. I thought I'd enjoy painting the spider itself, but didn't for some reason, and the howdah is crazily fiddly. I'd never want to paint a second of these. So my Riotville model could should be going up by one (just one!) for this, but for some reason I've managed to count it wrong - I've been claiming to have done 42 already, but the Arachnarok is actually the 42nd for this list that I've done. Soooo, the counter is still stuck at 42/62 However, it's only 20 left to do, so the finish is in sight. 5 Spider Riders, 5 Boar Boyz, and 10 more Savage Orcs, and I'll be done.

It looks great. I kind of agree that my feeling is that a lot of large models takes a bit too long time to paint for them to be fun painting.

It looks great. I kind of agree that my feeling is that a lot of large models takes a bit too long time to paint for them to be fun painting. Some big monsters I really enjoy - if you're just painting vast expanses of fur/flesh, then they're actually quite quick to do - it's then just filling in details like claws and eyes afterwards. I think the Arachnarok would have been easier if I'd left the legs off for painting. I just really dislike putting together models after painting them, as I inevitably make a mess of it (I had a nightmare with Nagash), and it's hard to get such a good fit then (such as in this case, the platform not fitting flush onto the spider's carapace). Also the platform has a crazy amount of detail to paint, which took aaaaaaages.

That Aracknarok might have been a pain in the A to get to the table top but will look great once you deploy it!
Nice black colour scheme.

That arachnarok looks great. I dont like painting cavalry models let alone huge centerpiece models. I admire your skill and patience with it.

Really like the Araknarok, particularly the eyes. When I painted my one of these I found doing all of the spider webs a bit laborious, there is so many of them in fiddly places.

8 x Orc Boar Boyz finished. I only need 5 for Riotville, but prefer to paint the full unit at once. The other two boars got used for a Chariot. The photography was rushed, which is why the lighting is poor. Riotville count: 47/62 I've bought and half built another ten Savage Orc Boyz and need to get those and 5 Spider Riders done this month. Should be possible.
