Can a fire thrower or a Lizzie salamander overshoot into you own unit in combat?
Trying to find but only found so far that cannons can’t.

The cannon rules, of course, specifically state (BRB p. 112) "that you are not allowed to make a cannon shot in such a way that it has a chance of hitting a friendly unit or an enemy unit that is engaged in close combat.
Fire Throwersd o not have such a restriction, and for them the relevant rule here is BRB p. 39: "Some war machine weapons, particularly those that use templates, can accidentally hit friends whilst aiming at the enemy. The key word here is 'accidentally' — you cannot purposefully aim a template so that some of your models will be hit."
Note that the key word "accidentally" is explained as "you cannot purposefully aim a template so that some of your models will be hit," not could be hit. So, stricto sensu, a Fire Thrower could overshoot into your own units, since, when you aim the template, it is unclear whether some of your model will be hit or not.

If it does overshoot and hit your own troops then it is fully allowed for your opponents to snigger uncontrollably. 😀

I should think that snigger is politically highly incorrect. You need to woke up!

I'd think that much snickering is not only allowed, but should be a FAQ amendment.
Now, lifting your kilt, smacking of the posterior and making snide comments about ones aim, as a way of teasing, is probably (almost) taking things a bit too far....maybe.

Not in the slightest. That's almost tame.

I'm sure this is how Bretonnians view the Empire. Lol.

Of course, Braveheart is not exactly historically accurate (to put it mildly). Scots at the time did not wear kilts - nor anyone else in Europe, for that matter. This kind of "backslap" could not have happened.

Outlaw King on Netflix is awesome - I recommend it. It's "effectively" the sequel to Braveheart, and is actually pretty historically accurate. The opening 5-10 minutes (the single take) are pretty epic
