Need more turn by turn! I didn’t take pictures throughout the entire game and without the pictures I have a hard time remembering the details. Brief overview however: Dwarfs vanguard up hammerers, longbeards and gryo closest to the hammerers and longbeards. Dwarves get turn 1. March both units up, start moving rangers on flank up. I deployed the rangers back way more than 12” away from the enemy which ended up being a mistake as it didn’t put enough pressure on the vampire army. VC turn 1 horrors and skelly bus charge into hammerers. Fairly heavy losses on both sides. I think VC won combat by a few but hammerers hold on stubborn. Dwarf 2 sees longbeards flank skelly unit engaged with hammerers. VC take huge losses this turn but still have models left in both units. VC turn 2 the skelly horde not engaged flanks the longbeards. VC magic phase is huge and really the games turning point. VC gets like 5 horrors bases back and the skelly bus gets some guys back too. Then horrors go on to roll well this round of combat. Longbeards break and are run down. Hammers hold but there are not many left. We fight on all 6 turns but VC had a commanding lead. Miners came on and charged into zombie necro bunker turn 4. They fluff some attacks and only kill one of two necros. VC brings more units into this combat and miners break from combat and run off table. Hammerers die to the man in combat. Despite the crushing loss it was a fun time (as is always the case when I get to game). I also learned a few things to do different if I play this list again.
