So I have always been desperate to find alternative models for my armies, and have just stumbled across Hero Forge... They are fully customizable, and tbh, have me psyched. Does anyone have any experience with them, and might know how they scale to GW? ***This is a WP I spent about 10 minutes building, and would love to have the model. That is, if I can find out how they match up.

www.heroforge.com/FAQ/#minisizeit's in their FAQ. 30mm is standard. which should be a tad bigger than GW's 'heroic 28mm'. unless you plan on buying the file and printing it yourself. then you can scale it any way you want to.

”When standing up straight, our human male preset is approximately 30mm tall from ground plane to eye level, matching most 30mm miniatures and many 28mm "heroic scale" miniatures.” Buy and try

That looks a really cool concept! I haven't poked around enough to see what the costs are like, but it's really tempting to try to do a heroic version of myself to lead an army, and perhaps a giant orcish version of Knoffles too

I just busted out some of my staties, and they come in around ~28 mm at the eyes, so I just ended up scaling the model the same way, with a ruler they have on the website. I'm attempting the buy and try lol, I'll let you know how it works. It is such a cool concept that I hope it does!

I didn’t get one (as didn’t make it) but one of my mates did.

I really liked Hero Forge when I made a mini for my D&D character. It was a gnome, and came out about the same size as GW dwarves (which was appropriate because he identified as a dwarf). He wasn't as thick-chested as the GW dwarf models, but he was about the same height. Also, the base he came on was larger than the 25mm bases, so there's that to watch out for. I'm not sure if you can adjust that in the design stage, though.

I have purchased 4 or 5 HeroForge miniatures. Nothing but good things to say. I did their KickStarter way back when once upon a time.
The model scale fits perfect with GW Miniatures. All of mine have been Humans or Dwarfs. Matching up HeroForge with circa 2000-01 Empire or Dwarf miniatures = Good. I like!
My buddies have used HeroForge for "weirder' stuff lately. i.e. a Tengu, a Celestial, a Rogue, etc. Stuff for 1-of's for D&D.
I don't know if HeroFroge would be usable source for a whole regiment. Just a dollars and cents thing there.... y'know?

Which material did you go for? And would you be able to share photos, to see the printing quality?

Alright, so it just came in the mail. I think I went a little small, but it works! I went with the premium plastic, and it got here in about a week, which is much better than my hasslefree order. (I placed one last October and still haven't recieved it). I think what makes her slightly smaller stature ok, is the fact that she is a female. I think it looks cool. Here are some pics!
