I’ve been discussing a two-day event with some of the local players. I wanted to get some feedback from the community on the level of interest. Two day events require substantially more logistical support than a single day event, especially with more attendees.
Please copy and paste the questions below, along with your answers, thanks.
1. Would you attend a two day Warhammer Fantasy event? 2. How much would you pay for the event entry fee? 3. How much would you pay for lodging (per night)? 4. How far would you travel, or how much would you pay for travel? 5. What would you expect from such an event? 6. What would increase your chance of attending a two-day event?
I am located in the US, but I’m still interested in any answers from other countries. Also, I would definitely have no problems with foreign attendance, so don’t think you’re answers don’t matter.

For me the restriction on a 2 day event is the fact that I have kids and my wife’s a teacher, so works a lot at weekends (marking, prepping resources etc). For those reasons, although I’d love to go to a 2 day event, there’s no chance of it.

With some notice, I'm willing to make time for this. Even open to traveling with some locals to meet new faces.

1. Would you attend a two day Warhammer Fantasy event?
Yes, that sounds like a lot of fun!
2. How much would you pay for the event entry fee?
Now that would depend. If it were local to me and it was a populated event with tables, terrain, vendors, and other neat things I'd pay maybe $50 if it was all out. Would I travel? If it was driving distance and inexpensive I'd be down still. Inexpensive meaning around $10-$20 depending on driving time.
3. How much would you pay for lodging (per night)?
Under $100
4. How far would you travel, or how much would you pay for travel?
MAYBE 4 hours. Depends what is being offered.
5. What would you expect from such an event?
The bigger the better. Tables, terrain, vendors, food and drink (of the adult type) is always welcome. Getting any of the writers would be really cool. Even none GW vendors would be cool. A tournament would probably be cool but I'd prefer just an open play spots but I don't really play tournaments. A Narrative campaign could be interesting.
6. What would increase your chance of attending a two-day event?
Being close and being inexpensive. Hard to justify spending a good bit of money to play a game when I have my play group and can play spending nothing but some gas.

1. Would you attend a two day Warhammer Fantasy event?
Yes. I have done so in the past and would like to do so again. But due to timing in life I can’t do a full weekend event until at least the spring.
2. How much would you pay for the event entry fee?
I have paid up to $90 in the past but that included Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast and lunch. More often there is no food provided and the fee has been around $50 or $60.
3. How much would you pay for lodging (per night)?
$100
4. How far would you travel, or how much would you pay for travel?
4 hour drive
5. What would you expect from such an event?
5 games with like minded opponents (i.e. there to have a good time, not curb stomp their opponents).
6. What would increase your chance of attending a two-day event?
Located near me (Upstate NY)
