Gents, the warrior’s prayers are innate bound spells (empire book pg 36) and he gets 3 of them.
If he miscasts then he is unable to cast any further spells (BRB pg 37) but you don’t roll on the miscast table.
The initial section on bound spells on pg 37 also says that you can cast bound spells even if you lose concentration, so does this mean that as long as you don’t miscast, you can attempt to cast all 3 prayers, even if you fail to cast the first 2. (An example would be using 1 dice to cast the rerolls to wound spell. It shows a 2, so fails to go off. You then throw 1 dice at the 5++ Ward spell, it shows a 1, so fails to go off. You then throw 1 dice at the soul fire spell and roll a 4, so it succeeds).
Of course you couldn’t do this with a wizard but the Empire Errata v1.2 specifically states they are not wizards.
Is my reading of this correct or have I missed something?
As I finished writing this, I had an after thought that it would likely also apply to the dwarf anvil but freely admit to not having actually looked at the rules in the book recently, so there may be something that prevents this.

Does dispelling them work the same as dispelling spells? If it does, that makes them pretty useless; if it doesn't that makes them perhaps a bit TOO powerful...

BRB. 37: "Bound spells are dispelled exactly as other spells — the dispelling Wizard must equal or beat the casting result for a successful dispel."
So, they are clearly less useful than when auto-cast, but not completely useless. Since they have to compete for power dice, you have to put much more thought into your casting strategy.
In the case of WP, they have been some compensations: the WP can cast now all three spells per magic phase, and Detachments within 3" of the Regimental Unit will also benefit.
