Rules query that came up in a game this week against VC.
Can the spell Vanhel's Danse Marcarbe be used to move a unit into close combat, as per a charge?
I was dubious that it could be used for that purpose in 8th edition, as most spells that could be used to charge were limited in that regard, but I couldn't find the wording in the rulebook to make the point.
We played it that it could ... was it played correctly?

No. The unit can make a move as if in the Remaining Move Phase. And you can't charge in that phase.
You were dubious for a reason. I think that was a good change from prior editions, you can't cast your way out of fumbling in the movement phase.
