wilsonthenarc, It's a typical pitched battle game, but each side get an additional 25% allowance to buy monsters. For example, if you army is 2,000 points, then you would get an additional 500 points to spend on monsters. That's exactly how we played it.

How did the battle go? Any notable events? I know I'm behind on the background, but I do plan on updating it by the end of the year...

We did have questions: RE do the monsters count for victory points (we played Yes) If Dan's whole army hates my whole army, do the allied monsters also hate all of my army (we played No) Do the monsters get to use the General's LD for the army the are attached to points (we played Yes) I think there was one or two other rules inquiries.... small stuff.
The monsters dominated the action of this game! Dan got a couple pics. It was a really cool scenario, despite ALL of the monsters dying terrible deaths.
The only non-Monstrous-Confrontation monster was my NecroSphinx. And that died on my turn 0, Dan's turn 1 with a very giant and very accurate airborne rock to the head. (again)

Oh, and RE: points available for monsters, we weren't sure if you meant -
NOMINAL POINTS VALUE OF THE BANNER (i.e. 2000) or ACTUAL POINTS VALUE OF THE MODELS STILL STANDING IN THE BANNER (i.e. 1647)
**We played actual.

Actual. So you did it correct. Additional 25% of whatever size your army is (i.e. so if your are is exactly 1,123 points, then its 25% of this number).

It appears that here will be a campaign meeting in Rochester May 20-21. Stay tuned for details but know that there are a few games left over from the last meeting that need to be resolved. I figure the Maissontaal battle could happen then as well.

It appears that here will be a campaign meeting in Rochester May 20-21. This is amazingly good news, I just cleared my calendar for that weekend. Fully committed to a full day Saturday and a full day Sunday.

Hey guys, it's not an official campaign weekend. The point of the weekend to finish several outstanding battles from the last season.

Hey guys, it's not an official campaign weekend. The point of the weekend to finish several outstanding battles from the last season. Understood. Knowing this... I was actually hoping to bring my Beastmen and get side games as they become available throughout the day. If you had 5 people hanging, I would make it six and everyone can be actively gaming and rolling dice. Beastmen army is 2500 points. In true Stillmania fashion I am just bringing that army and not one other mini!!! If they run into a 3000+ point campaign banner, thems the beats. We'll go down in a blaze of glory.

Could I show up to observe and if possible maybe get a pickup game? I'll bring a 3k list against Wilson the narc 2.5k beastmen 😉

So I have no campaign games to get in this weekend. But my Beastmen aren't fully painted yet. Not even 80% painted to be tabletop ready. I am painting rusty metal axes at this moment (quick 10 minute break for the forum).
So - My plan is to show up today, sometime like 3ish or 4ish or 5ish this afternoon and hang til 8ish, 9ish, 10ish (pretty much til all the big siege games are done). I'll bring 2000ish points of Warriors of Chaos if anyone wants to get a side game in, but I think I just want to hang and spectate. Maybe just sit back and appreciate the amazing gaming hall and hoist a Mead or Cider to Salamone!
Also, I am free tomorrow to do more of the same. Once I started treated this as a non-critical non-full-campaign weekend, I got roped into family stuff today (noon til ??) and tomorrow (breakfast). The lesson: just treat every weekend like a full campaign weekend. No excuses, no distractions, on the calendar 2 months ahead of time.

Any update on the next campaign weekend? This would be a FULLY, meaning a full campaign weekend. I think everyone is caught up on games. Now we can make moves and build and consolidate and get a whole new gamut of games to play against each other. I'll tag TheREALricksalamone and KevinC and dannytee and avatarofbugmanMight I suggest the weekend of September 9th? 9/9. I know, ironic given our love of the number 8 and distaste of all things 9th... But 8/8 seems too soon Additonally: I think that the "Da Boyz" weekend will be a fine time for side games - possibly on Friday night and tons of time on that Sunday for 1-on-1. I think we shall reserve Saturday for a more formal group thing, either a mega-game or a mini tournament. The whole point being: If we do a campaign weekend on 9/9, having Da Boyz in early November would be great timing to start progress on side games. Thoughts? If we can all agree, let's get it on the calendar for 100%. For me, that means I can manage the wife and kiddo etc. That means I can live in Rich's basement for like 40 hours straight. Make myself a Skaven-like rat nest, lined with shredded Age of Sigmar literature.
