Awesome wyvern. Your old school orcs bring back memories of when I really got started in Warhammer. Lovely wyvern and warboss. Thank you! Love this model, I seen this model with a shorter base size, but I read somewhere that 50x100mm size also works. I personally like 50x100mm better. Yeah I absolutely agree that the 50*100mm chariot base size that you have him on looks better than 50*50. The added stability will no doubt save you tipping annoyance. That tail is heaps long.

I also put Azhag The Slaughterer on a 50x100mm chariot base. It just looks better to me. I also play Kings of War and second edition it was the same base size, but with the current edition they changed it to 75x75mm square base. I'm not going to rebase because of what the rule book said.. I don't play tournaments so it doesn't bother me much.

I haven't done much painting since I got the call to return to work. With having to work earlier hours I didn't have much time to paint. I feel kind of bad because I wanted to keep pushing with my Orcs for this game. But, I did manage to dink around with my spear chukka's.. On another thread about base sizes, I asked about putting bases on spear chukka's and rock lobbers. So I managed to put spear chukka's on 40mm square bases and they look really good. I put a rock lobber on a 50x100mm chariot base and the sides hung over the base... Maybe I can find a 60x100mm base to fit nicely.

I went with a 75x50mm base for my Rock Lobber. The overhang is pretty minimal, so I was comfortable with that, and a 100mm length just seemed unnecessarily long.
I prefer WFB models on square bases, but there's no reason you couldn't put warmachines on rounds/ovals - plenty of people do. You may find one of those fits better - though it'll then look inconsistent with your Spear Chukkas.

Maybe the one that came packaged with AoS Greenskinz for boar chariots, I don't know the exact base size, but I agree it will look a little out of place.

After months of neglect I was finally able to finish a unit of Orc boys! I love these Brian Nelson sculpts to me, this was the Orc standard. As you can see that these have full command, a drummer, banner bearer, and a champion. I free handed the banner with a big obnoxious Orc face. I'm very proud of that work since I have basic knowledge on color. Also, my Warboss is attached to the unit so really there's nineteen Orc Boyz total. Mixed weapons of choppas and clubbas. I didn't really have a plan on how many orcs will have certain weapons. Their shields are all the same though since I do like a bit of uniform. My Orcs are just in a big pile in a rubber maid. I grab one and start painting it from start to finish including flocking the base. For flocking I used Army Painter Brown Battleground and Battlefield Field Grass. At first I was unsure about it, but I actually like it. All the paints were Army Painter paints including the washes and I used Krylon primer from the local hardware store.

This unit looks super nostalgic, great banner too!

Thank you! I love these miniatures and tried to collect as much as I can. I think you can still find them on ebay for decent prices.

Rebased and flocked this Orc Boar Chariot. They were on a different chariot base that became warped over time. Bought some new chariot bases and rebased this one. I did do some touch up painting but nothing too noticeable.
