sweet paintjob. I just can't get over the winged baby holding the flag. I have the metal version and looked at it quite a bit. It would be rather painful to chop off the baby...and so the whole model (rather lovely otherwise) just lingers in my closet. One day I will figure this one out.

Yeah, that's why I painted him black. It looked a little less like a baby that way.
Logically, it works though. The model wouldn't make any sense with the banner floating out to the side like that. And with his horse rearing as he is, I'd think that the banner would be continuing forward, which could interfere with Ludwig himself. The only other thing I could imagine would be to pose the banner off to the back and his horse charging ahead as Kurt Helborg's is, but we already have a Kurt model. I like the whole model so much that it doesn't bother me too much.
This is the metal version too. Heavy model.

....of course...don't you have them too? (Although, mine don't carry meat tenderizers.)

Looks sweet, I really regret not getting that or helborg when I had the chance Yeah, I think that both models really speak to the characters very well, and their roles in the Empire. Kurt is in full charge (appropriate given his highly offensive nature) and Ludwig is posted in more of a defensive stance (which speaks to his "bodyguard" role. I love 'em both!
