I really like the little patches of blue as they really stand out and help to break up the sea of orange and flesh. Are you use the citadel paint that cracks when it dries, for the bases? (I forget the name). Thanks! Yeah, it really helps to have a cool color break up a warm tone! Yes, I have been using GW's Agrellian Earth for my bases. The Badlands one is good too, and almost the same thing, but it's a little grittier. More texture. Agrellian Earth just was introduced first, and I started using it, so I keep with it. Well, short story: I used the Badlands one once because I had ordered some models off eBay that already had a rough texture on it, so I applied Agrellian Earth to those, and Badlands to the bare ones.

Nice. Do you just paint it on as normal, same brushes etc?

Nice. Do you just paint it on as normal, same brushes etc? Yes, but you have to lay it on thick. And I mean THICK. Blob it up on there and leave more than you think you should. The more you leave, the more it'll crack up.

The more you leave, the more it'll crack up. I've never used to the stuff... but it looks really good. I might have to give it a try some day!

Are you able to take some closer-up photos of your Ungrim? Yours looks great, and I'm considering a similar conversion.

I'm still handling the fallout from my kids birthday party this morning, but I'll take some pics as soon as as I can get things set out again! Glad you like him! There are a few pics of him on page 1 of this thread, but I really need to touch him up and take some better pictures. I've been meaning to do that for quite some time anyway. This'll give me the motivation I need.

Are you able to take some closer-up photos of your Ungrim? 🤣 hahaha! Anywhere else and this question might sound rude.

Great job with the eye patch. I also love the slightly washed out/weathered look, especially with his trousers (pants?)
