What blue is that for the skeleton warrior arrows? It's very vibrant. Green Stuff World 'Dusty blue' dipping ink.. I've been using it for the shields on my skellies too if you want to scroll back & see what it looks like on flatter surfaces. I cant help but feel like it's a 'royal blue faded by the sun' type look. Straight onto white scare undercoat, job done!

So I managed to finish a total of 10 tomb guard... no wonder most people take these in smaller units - they're a nightmare to paint! It's probably taken me as much time to paint 10 tomb guard than it did to paint an entire 40-man hoard of skeleton Warriors! Army shot... army shot... army shhhhhhhot hisssss

So the Mrs decided, as we're both getting along in years now, that we should look into our funeral arrangements - planning for the future and all that! Anyway, we got to the funeral directors & they asked me did I want burial or cremation? I said burial, naturally. Then they asked me which coffin I liked, and I said I didn't want a coffin, only burial hisssss Some horse-archers here, fairly easy to whip up!

Not so sure about this one... the blue feels a bit too bright - I used a different blue to my normal shade - this ones called 'Indigo Blue'... it feels a bit more 40k than fantasy! Love the figure though:

I like the blue and red together. Looks great. The blue scorpion is very unique, but I think it looks fine. Maaaayyybe slightly 40kish, but still not bad. Love the army shot!

Thanks Azknight - I've since applied a black wash over the top which has toned it down a little - the lighting is different in this image but hopefully you can see the difference!

Maybe I'm biased but I just love that scorpion.
Very effective paontjob and indeed a unique presence on the battlefield.

I also really like the Scorpion.
It has a definite Necron vibe in that paint scheme but that isn't a bad thing.
It doesn't look out of place emerging from Nehekharan sands.

So the Mrs is getting suspicious... all her yellow foundation is vanishing, along with her darkest eye-shadow. Meanwhile I'm walking around looking like a member of Green-Day with jaundice *hissssss* Every good bag-of-bones army needs a leader! Someone boney of face and yellow of disposition & I think this chap fits the bill nicely:

Ooh, the Tomb King/Prince himself.
Im the closeup his Khopesh looks massive. Is it actually significantly bigger than a tomb guard blade or is it just the perspective?
