Looking good! I like the conversions to the IoB models to give them some variety.

I can almost forgive the pictures of Skaven bringing down the tone of the forum 😉 but only because they look so good. Can’t wait to see the horde.

Well done, the Rat Ogres look cool. Painting 100 clan rats to any standard is worthy of applause

These are some completed models that had not yet been in the photo booth. filling out the regiment. Still have a few to go. Command crew Archer academy class 2018 picture- school tradition is to get matching haircuts on graduation day Caledor hero on foot. In head canon is classic Caledor archetype in disposition. The weapon gives me a Lu Bu vibe. No particular memorable exploits from him I’m afraid. My most often opponent only has access to Chaos Warriors and lizardmenand thusly martial exploits of melee nature are hard to come by! I also run him in the block of spearmen for the cool factor and have had challenges in getting him into combats that I favour -Dammit Jim I’m a hobbyist not a tactician!

I really like the red and white colour scheme and kudos for the classic trek quote.

I really like the red and white scheme archer unit.
Your comment immediately made me think of Dynasty Warriors.
Lotr models are certainly welcome in the monthly painting challenge if you wanted to make an October pledge.

Heyo back from the dead - I have not stopped painting however - I have been using the contrast paints with skaven a fair bit and I really dig it - for certain purposes of course. These guys were a mournfang brown base spray then a wash More to come!

Awesome job, and great color scheme on the rats. They look dirty and creepy.

Anything that can speed up painting rats can’t be knocked! They look suitably dirty 😉. I love the use of the rat ogres to break up the unit.

I think Skaven are what contrast paints were made for.. Lovely units, your rats are coming along nicely
