Hi All,
I am a new member here and this forum was pointed out to me by someone on the Warhammer Fantasy Battles group on facebook. I live in the Albany, NY area (moved to the area in August) and have looked for other WFB players at my FLGS, but so far no takers. If anyone is interested in some Old World gaming, then feel free to reach out. I haven't played in a while (years), and have been feeling the itch to get back into it. Thanks and am glad to have found this forum.
- Alex
I am near Newburgh/Peekskill. Moved here recently as well.

Hi kseibt, Cool, that is not too far from Albany. How is the WFB scene there in the Newburgh area? There is a nice gaming store in Albany (Zombie Planet) with some decent table space, but I haven't had any luck finding any WFB games yet.

If you guys want to do a trip to NYC, a couple of us can give you games! Also, there's a tournament in PA this weekend and we're driving!

There are some gaming stores in Peekskill, up near Poughkeepsie, and down in Westchester. But I haven't checked into whether any have patrons who are dormant WFB fans.

I'm going to keep my eye on that event for next year, assuming there is a next year. This weekend may be a bridge too far. Do you know of any other events like that in the Northeast? I'm in the city during the week. Dragging models onto the train might be a bit much. Can drive, perhaps, if you're in one of the outer boroughs.

That's too bad, but seems to be a common theme. If you ever want to get a game in and can make it up to Albany, then feel free to shoot me a PM and we could set up a game. Likewise if you find a gaming store down near you that can support some WFB, I could probably make it down for a game now and again, if you're interested.

The Bethlehem tourney has been scheduled on a quarterly basis for the past year or so. I attended 3 out of 4 last year. So next one likely in April/May. I live in the city, but play in Brooklyn. I would offer to help store an army, but as I live int he city, I don't have much space. What armies do you play? I mght have it?

I'll keep you in mind. Want to take the wife up through Saratoga Springs and some of the upper Hudson Valley at some point - maybe I'll bring an army along if I decide to spend a weekend closer to Albany. If you're ever down this way, I can host or we could play in Peekskill/Poughkeepsie

I should have no problem making it down your way at some point. I'm originally from LI - I was down playing there two weeks ago. I play Dark Elves and Empire primarily, but also own and dabble in VC, TK, OK

If you're ever down this way, I can host or we could play in Peekskill/Poughkeepsie Great, that would be cool. I play Skaven, Dark Elves, Empire, Ogre Kingdoms, and Vampire Counts. I am currently just getting started on a Chaos Dwarf army as well...hopefully that will be ready by whenever we can get in some games.

Hey all,
Long time fantasy player here, though I've not had an opportunity to play much in many years due to just having no opponents locally.
I don't suppose anyone here is in the Austin, Texas area? I'd be interested in even some of the other major Texas cities as I could occasionally take a bit of a drive for my favorite game!
I've had many armies over the years, but the current one I have is Chaos Dwarves. I've also just started working on a Wood Elves list.

Fairly new to the forum, so I figured that I would post that my brother and I (and our local playgroup) are near Nevada City, Ca
My brother’s shop just did the new signage for our local gaming store. They just moved to accommodate tournament and play room, and of course, my brother was able to convince the owner to run 8th ed events. Hopefully we will be able to bring together the local players who’ve been fractured in these years since the End Times
