Thought I'd get a head start on next months modeling and painting showcase! I'm mostly trying to get myself away from the PS4 and motivated to start working on the rats again I'm going to pledge 60 rats. Not sure right now what they're going to be, at least 20 of them will be clanrats/slaves, but I may start working on my stormvermin, or maybe just go for the easy kill and paint up a bunch of giant rats. Don't really know right now, but I do want to get back at it. So post your goals! What do you want to accomplish for the month of July? Pics encouraged!

This month, I will finish the itch of my life. After that, I can consider my life complete and ride off into the sunset (with several nymphs in tow )

I am excited to finally be able to pledge something in this thread! I haven't been able to paint since the middle of April as my basement (where my warhammer room is) received a bit of flooding in April and the water continued to come and go before finally drying up for good just a few weeks ago. Luckily nothing was damaged. Anyway that forced me to pile everything up in a dry spot to keep it safe but also meant I had no location for minis and painting.
My pledge is going to be a bit different then what most others do which is a set number of minis. I will be pledging a set amount of hobby/painting time. For July I pledge 10 hours of hobby time. I was in the middle of assembling some stormvermin when progress was halted so finishing those up will be first. That should only take a bit of time and I have yet to decide what I will work on after that but will keep you updated here.

I want to get three Empire cannons done...and touch up a Gryocopter. Modest goals, even more modest follow-through. that's how I roll.
Mahbruck, this better be good. Better than an awesome DoW regiment good.

Well, I fell flat on last month's WE dragon project after my friend TOLD ME that I was going to assemble and paint his Treekin. Um...no? (He actually threatened me that he would never do it if I don't. Um...that's up to you?)
Anyway, I digress.
This month, I'll be finishing painting up a block of 20 Saurus Warriors, and then will probably move on to either my Skaven (more than likely) or 24 Dark Shards. We'll see what hits my fancy at the time.

This month I pledge 2 treelords, 1 unit of wild riders, 1 unit of sisters. Update: I added a new model too to the list. Semi converted Elf Mage on mount. All unit based coated and the wild riders have begun its ride to tabletop level. Thinking of something like this for the Wild Riders but not sure if I should pop the eyes with drybrush neon green

Change of plan: I don't want to jump up to the project so dear to my heart unprepared. So I need some more time to study the design of 16th century armors and learn some NMM techniques. Not that I will use it but it is incredibly useful for to make impressive metal weapons and armors. Just repainted Rodrigo Delmonte with NMM weapons. Love the effects (need a little bit more matte on the hammer though). And I really need to retouch these boys, Voland's Venators. They have been in service for incredibly long time and were pretty cool during my days in the UK, but now they look pretty aged. Also I feel guilty to have neglected my Asurs for so long, so I definitely pledge this Lion Chariot for this July! Last but not least, if I can finish the last 9 Besiegers (those boys have been of great value in battles lately) I would be ecstatic Greed is good, eh!

This month like Naitsabes, I intend to keep on over promising and under delivering so I will say I am going to finish my next batch of Chaos Dwarf Axemen & also make a bit more progress on my Black Coach. I should probably finish off last months basing for my Dire Wolves too

mottdon love the conversion (if it's a cat you get maximum kudos) After failing completely on last months pledge I'll again (like others) also wildly over commit and pledge to: Base my Scarlocks wood elf archers (without touching their 20-25yr old paintjob). Paint: 10 Dryads Mage on Unicorn Lord on Great Stag 8 Wildriders 10 Waywatchers Glade Captain on Great Eagle Edit: missed off the Waywatcher Lord (name escapes me at present) Ok so this pretty much lists everything I need to complete for my comp legal army list. I'm not too hopeful on completing the last 3 entries but technically I have until 1 Sept to finish it all.

Got this Night Goblin Champ finished last night while I worked on completing my Saurus Warrior block (almost done!). Just a tad bit of fun while I work on the bigger stuff. Makes me feel like I'm making progress.

Right, I've actually managed to complete the first two items on my list. I'll hold my hands up to not being the best painter (mainly aim for table top standard). Hopefully my average painting will inspire those less 'gifted' painters to add stuff Basing Skarlocks wood elf archers (excuse the terrible early teens paint job, i'll get round to sorting them out one day...) And finished painting a unit of Dryads (yes the original metal models from 4th edition when they could take on different tree aspects each round - similar in nature to the wardancer dances).

woah! we aren't even half-way through the month and people are already posting pics? what happened to good old procrastination and last minute effort?
I quite like the old dryads and their wood grain skin. Good job. But, RED claws? That is not a period of 'eavy metal painting we should try and emulate.
My favorite model has got to be the 'dead cow fanatic' (at least I hope the poor thing is dead). Excellent idea and execution.

Great stuff! knoffles: Love the 80's fabulous Wood Elves! And I have two of those old Dryads if you want them. I was hanging on to them incase I ever wanted 3+ Branchwraiths in a unit, but that's never happened and probably never will. Besides, it's not too difficult to come up with a Branchwraith from leftover bits. Just PM me with your address and I'll send them to you. Naitsabes: I'm glad you like him! I thought it was funny and fit the army.
