Lol, that's my light table. Glass top that can be lit from beneath. (I'll try to take a pic of it lit up later.) It can also tilt front to back. Super cool! I usually have a large cutting board on top so that I don't mess up the glass. You can kind-of see it in the background in this pic, but it's all covered up, not lit and laying flat.

Here's a few pics of my Light Table I took over the weekend. Not totally cleaned up, but good enough. Lit up: Light turned off:

This army shot is what motivated me to get started working on them! So many unpainted models! The horror! I decided to get right into it and get going with the Screaming Bell! I'd feel good if I could just get at least one unit finished.

So how does that light table work? It lights from underneath?

It's usually used for drafting. There's a motor in the central column that will raise\lower the height, as well as tilt it from vertical to horizontal. Then the table to itself has lights in it with a dimmer switch attached so I can adjust the intensity of the illumination. The top of the table is actually a thick glass. I used it a lot when I was getting my degree in architecture in college. You could lay out plans and put tracing paper over them, then make any adjustment concepts on that. Happens all the time with architects. Most just don't have light tables to work on. Most work is done in 3D models on the computer nowadays though. My sister used to be the art editor for a magazine called Southern Living and they had several of these sitting is storage. She asked her boss if I could buy one from them and he said, "Sure! How about one hundred bucks?" I jumped at the opportunity. The last I saw, these were selling for around $3K used.

Your table is awesome. I wish I had as many equipment as you do. The Skaven army is huge, but I'm sure you will get through it !
