Whew that's a relief! Glad to know that it worked in the end.
Looking forward to the painted version.

Looks awesome! So is it possible to make the bricks with any lighter material like resin?

which bricks? that latest wall is foam. doesn't get any lighter than that. The Hirst Art blocks you can make out of resin instead of plaster. But, supposedly it is harder on the molds and is toxic while liquid. Since I do my casting in the kitchen, toxic is a no-go. Anyway, looks like the foam walls are the tickets. Volganof will rise ...any minute now. Stay tuned.

KevinC isn’t it time to remove the possibility for guest to post? Unfortunately, I don't think he's online here very often. Maybe he could pass on the responsibility to someone tech savvy like you, strutsagget?

I talked to him earlier to promote some admins/moderators just in case needed.

well, let's get this back on track! Thanks KevinC for keeping filthy spammers out of Volganof. ------------------- 31Aug2019 Here is the Tawdry Tap Tavern in all its grimey glory. The Tap is the first watering hole when you enter Volganof through the Griffon Gate and as such attracts the thirsty and those travelers who may not want to venture into the more affluent city center. I have been doing some experimenting with how to fill out the area inside the city walls. These are 8” squares and we could spread out some scatter terrain that can be moved aside for units to pass through. Not sure if we need dedicated ‘streets’ then. The bigger wall/tower piece is still work in progress but I mounted it on 8x16” so it will fit in the grid. If you have experience building a city, would be curious to hear how you handled this part. Lastly, the future is now, I heard. And so I purchased a 3d printer and started with some scenery. Quite happy with the quality and this way somebody else did all the work and I pretty much just pushed a button (and waited 30hrs). What’s not to like? Should paint up pretty nicely, but we shall see. Cheers!

Holy cow, is that a resin print? It looks so smooth . I had a go at painting a 3D printed bunker but the texture made the experience horrid. This one looks so much better. Also I like your solution with the tiles. This will allow for various setups and using the terrain for other things too, after Volganof is saved/burnt to the ground. Can't offer any advice on city planning I'm affraid. I am churning out trees and shrubberies mostly. Expecting a visit from the knights who say 'Ni' anytime now.
