What's wrong with turtles.
I don't really like the turtle's Troglodon head but the other one is ok.
Super easy to bring these guys into Warhammer Fantasy. There is already lore about people being attacked by warriors from the deep.
I like the Octopus scribe, Seahorse knight is funny and the tidal wave general model is impressive.
I don't plan on buying anything from this release but would consider the turtle later.
Don't like the cavalry at all.
I'm all for more turtle and tortoise based miniatures.

I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm hoping they do make ONE Beastmen model. The newer Kazarak is impossible to find. The Tzaangor are pretty cool Beastmen models. Like you I'd like more Beastmen models. I'd love a new epic general or special character Beastmen model. I've also been looking for a decently priced Khazrak model online.

I may have a khazarak floating around I know I had some redmaws.
Tzaangors and the Ogroid Thaumaturge (minotaur hero) are awesome. Skyfires are very cool.

I actually like the cavalry. Especially the riders. They look very "Atlantian". The only thing I really don't like are the "no eyes" foot troops. They just...I don't know...look weird. Maybe with different heads and non-white skin, I'd like them more...
The drummer on the very back of the Turtle Platforms is another odd ball (again with the no-face, white skin). I do, however, like the rider's helmet (of the green and brown turtle).
I wonder if these guys would be considered part of the High Elf book, or their own separate army faction. I hope they get a Kraken. That'd be awesome.
In AoS world, it'd make more sense for this army to get Corsairs as well as Lothern Sea Guard and Skycutters...maybe. AoS has it all messed way the heck up anyway.

Fluff is Teclis created them in his desire to create new races of elves to populate the AoS realms. He considers these a failure and is disgusted by them. No eyes look is part of that I think.

Basically anyone who was one of the embodied winds of magic during the End Times (and survived) became a god in Age of Sigmar. More fluff here aosshorts.com/idoneth-deepkin/

Gotcha. So there's hope for Balthesar Gelt, Ungrim Ironfist and Grimgor Ironhide?

Gelt was killed IIRC during the Ened Times and Ungrimm became the embodiment of Fire. Ungrimm was I think destroyed sometime between end times and the modern AoS era and his slayer followers are looking for pieces of their divided god- that's where the Fireslayers faction comes from. I know Gotrek factors in the modern Dwarven mythology as his end time actions put him in the Dwarven pantheon.
Grimgor Ironhide is to my understanding the new Gorka Morka
Alarielle - is the god of life and thus we get her super avatar form.

So, is Sigmar Heavens?
Nagash = Death Alarielle = Life Tyrion & Teclis = Light Malekith = Shadow
What does that leave - Beasts, Fire, Metal? Any ideas?

I think the models are pretty cool but have a little problem with flying fishes and sharks.

I think the models are pretty cool but have a little problem with flying fishes and sharks. I read a comment by someone saying that with this release AOS had officially jumped the shark.

Beasts - Grimgor now Gorka Morka Fire - was Ungrim and then I think may be Gotrek. (caradryn I think was fire before Ungrin in End times) Metal - I'm not sure but was Gelt who died during end times.
Fluff is to my understanding Idoneth use spells to allow the army to treat moving across land like moving across the sea including breathing air.

During the End Times, Grimgor became Incarnate of Beasts but was killed by Archaon. Gelt was Incarnate of Metal but killed by Mannfred. Ungrim was Incarnate of Fire but killed by Archaon. Fire then jumped to Caradryan, Captain of the Phoenix Guard - don't remember what happened to him...
