I've made an almost identical conversion for my vampire lord! Your army is really coming together now. How did those grave guard do against the hellpit abomination?

I've made an almost identical conversion for my vampire lord! Your army is really coming together now. How did those grave guard do against the hellpit abomination? Thanks for the kind words guys ! The grave guards did pretty well, but my opponent rolled a six and the damn thing came back. We had to kill it two times ! I have seen many conversions of mounted vampire lord online using this model from the zombie dragon kit. Have to admit he’s looking great. Have you posted photos of yours ? I’d like to see what you did with him. That said I will use mine as a vampire hero and not a lord, because that spot is already taken by my older (but arguably even cooler) metal model xD Other than that, today was Saturday and I had plenty of time to kill so I painted a model that has been waiting on my desk for more than a year. One of my all time favorite models, even though he’s not from the Vampire Counts...

I haven't posted any pictures of my undead yet, and shamfully my Blood Knights and Lord aren't fully painted (they've been half-painted for 3-4 years now).
Be'lakor is one of the best models GW has ever released in my view. I think he was the first model I ever picked up that wasn't for one of my (then) armies. Yours is looking great - you've got that shadowy look right. I'd suggest picking out the teeth, eyes and tongue as that'd help draw the eyes towards his face.

He’s the ultimate badass ! When I first got into warhammer back around 2003, a friend gave me a storm of chaos white dwarf/book and he was one of the first model I discovered. Him and the mounted Archaon from back in the days. I got hooked instantly and these two are still some of the best models ever in my eyes. I finally got to paint this one 15 years later, and one day I’ll get Archaon and I’ll paint him too. It was a great time for warhammer back then !
