Conclusion: The dwarf list was non-conventional, had minima drops, really only 3 maneuver elements, and a crap ton of shooting. With so few drops I feel I was able to gain a huge advantage in the deployment phase. His hammer unit with 4 characters was isolated and I elected to wait them out and go after the cheaper stuff. I was able to pick off a few war machines and smaller units in the end. The large manor in the center made for some interesting tactics and, had the dwarves gotten my table side, things might have been very different. I ended up with way more zombies than I started with and I feel like my magic phase was generally helpful, even though most of my castings were Invocation. I got off curse of years twice but it didn't do much (5 guys here and there). I miscast during turn 6 but only lost some levels. Too late to matter. Bugman's army provided a tactical challenge and I don't think I've ever faced so much shooting. Luckily I anticipated this and provided lots of cheap stuff for him to shoot (and raise back . My "man of the match" was a pair of bat swarms. Honestly, it was the first time I'd used them and they exceeded expectations. Moving forward, we felt that Just Games was a nice place to play and Bugman and I are working out a 6 player "fun tournament". The owner, Matt, is open to us taking over the shop on a pre-determined Saturday. Details to follow. If you are interested in a day of EEFL gaming, let us know.

I stopped out and checked out the store - VERY NICE. Grabbed some Bones minis, some dice, so on...
I like the owner, Matt. Also, they sell cans of Surge brand soda product. i.e. Slurm.

Looks like a great game!
I'm glad you liked the store. It's always good to find places you actually enjoy playing. The first LGS I ever really found other Warhammer players was only a mile from my house. I started going there rather frequently, learning the game, but on one certain Saturday, I was playing a game and my wife stopped by to bring in some cookies she had baked for me and my friends and to just check in. While we were standing there, the owner's father (who was retired and just hung out there all day) walked up to our table and blatantly stared at my wife's chest. He wasn't even subtle. It made both of us really uncomfortable and even my friends around the table watching the game. I immediately took her out and walked her to her car and drove her home. After settling her down, I walked back to the store and gathered my things. When I returned my friends said that they told the owner what had happened and he just laughed it off and said, "That's my dad!" I haven't been back since.
All that to say, it really hard to find good places to play where you don't have to worry about things like that. It's a shame too since the most wholesome public environment is usually a GW store. (At least in my area.)

The further in advance I know the higher the chance I can come would be.

How did dwarves end up with 4 cannons? Aren't they special so would be limited to a max of 3 in an army less than 3,000 points?

Yeah those points would've helped in the longbeard unit.
