Lovely stuff but they are all stood up and not covered in blood/missing appendages?

Bah.
I need to come up with a name for my Dwarf Hold - after discussion with Westy, his Skaven clan are going to be in Tilea around the southern Appucini Mountains (which also adjoin the Border Princes to the east, and are close to the Black Gulf). These mountains are infested with bandits and greenskins (paving the way for my O&G army to join in one day), are considered to be devoid of dwarves, and are heavily forested. As a splinter of the Grey Mountains, the odds are they're similar poor in terms of mineral wealth (explaining my lack of miners).
My thoughts are that my hold will be a relatively recent settlement, perhaps originating from Karak Izor, in the north of the Appucini Mountains near the Old Dwarf Road, created with the intention of eventually re-opening that as a trade route.
It'll be a "Kazad" (fortress) rather than "Karak" (hold) or "Karaz" (mountain) as the purpose is to serve as a military fort initially. I've then got a choice of "Kazad Grob" (Green Fort to match my army's colours, or perhaps a reference to it holding off the greenskins that infest the mountains), "Kazad Grim" (Harsh/Unyielding Fort, as the conditions are probably fairly grim), "Kazad Garaz" (Fearless/Rebellious Fort), or "Kazad a Dar" (Fort of (a) bet/wager/challenge - suggesting that other dwarves thought it was improbable that anyone could hold a fortress in the mountains, and someone took them up on that bet...).

Looking great. where quantity meets quality lies true value. it's what they claim in the local grocery store. fitting here as well though.

Great slayer unit. That banner is immense!
The dragon slayer goes really well with them.

Is the banner home made or part of the AoW kit? Looks great. I love big banners.

Thanks. The banner is part of the kit, though most people don't seem to use the whole thing as it's not very well put together. Once built, it actually balances fine.
I've got my FW Slayer finished too, so once I've based him today, I'll get a photo up of him as well.

I finished this trio of warmachines last weekend, but only just got around to taking photos. They're really basic in that they're almost entirely drybrushed silver/gold metal. I'm currently working on the crew + 30 Thunderers, which I might just be able to finish off this month. And having posted those photos, this is where I realise I left off the grass tufts... I'll go get those sorted now.

They look great. I really like drybrush for metal and fur but not so much for anything else.
With fur and metal, the drybrush adds stripes that I really think fits the texture.

Great to see a great throng in the making. Love the idea of all the dwarf aow models, but hate them in reality. End up being fiddily, ill fitting, and tons of mild lines. I have given up on them honestly. Have rangers and gunners together andno will to go any further. Will start a thread with my boy lads soon!
