Fantastic work. Love it all the way even though they worship the wrong god...

Something about your painting style on these guys is resonating with me. In particular the skin tones and shading on the metal is great. This is a force that I would love to see on a table. Great work.

I had a second set of the Forge World dwarf command (the first had a damaged banner), so thought I'd make some use of a couple of the characters: Converted Master Engineer - nothing special, just a pistol from the AoW Thunderers, plus a spade from the Cannon kit: The Lord converted with an Oath Stone (spare from the Runesmith kit), shield from the Ironbreakers kit plus great weapon cobbled together from the Runesmith's staff plus two axe heads from the Longbeards kit. I've still got to gap fill the hand. I'm not sure the shield was necessary in hindsight, but I wanted it there to make the model more different from the original.

They look good! Sounds like you hit gold with the banner being damaged! More models for free, basically! Love the conversions!

Very nice. What did you use to achieve the copper colour on the engine?

Thanks. The copper was based with Screaming Bell, then layered all over with Hashut Copper. I then washed it with Reikland Fleshade, and lightly drybrushed Stormhost Silver

Grimm Burlocksson: Belegar Ironhammer: Next up will be the (unconverted) FW Lord and Thane BSB, which are primed and ready to go. Once they're done, it's the converted versions I showed further up this page, and the Flame Cannon/Grudge Thrower that are currently soaking in Dettol. I'm up to 3430 points of Dwarves painted (without runes).

I've just finished rebuilding the Grudge Thrower + Flame Cannon I got off ebay - both needed a lot of cleaning up, but after a Dettol bath alongside Gorbad Ironclaw, a Dark Elf Assassin and a Beastlord (what an indignity) they've scrubbed up okay. The Grudge Thrower needed the chain fitted - I didn't need to resort to jeweller's chain for this in the end, as the spare reins for the Gorebeast Chariot provided a good length of the right size chain. I had to replace the rope too, and could only find a Dark Elf Beastmaster's whip to use, which doesn't quite have the right texture, but suffices. The lever was also missing. The Flame Cannon was quite battered, but at least intact. Since I'm not using the original crew, I've used a shield from the Cannon kit for the handwheel. I've also used different wheels, as I don't like the original wooden ones. Now I've seen the photos, I'm spotting all the mould lines I missed

That BSB is amazing! Is it a GW model?
