I've recently carried over copies of various CDO writings from the ongoing Chaos Dwarf Culture Project into this forum section. Most written by me, but with many creations also penned by other people. Some stories have been illustrated by various artists. I've marked all authors and illustrators for stories and artwork I'm not behind. Just so this is clear: Due credit given.
This isn't all of the amassed and still growing writings, and we expect it to continue to swell at a slow pace through years to come. Might copy over the rest of it in due time (mainly songs, proverbs and famous quotes), and keep threads here updated as new stories get written by CDO members. Of course, be welcome to add your own Chaos Dwarf writings!
This culture project started back in 2014 by MadHatter's Khaozalid Dictionary, and grew rapidly. It constitutes an effort to bring the world of Warhammer's Chaos Dwarfs to life; to ignite the spark that makes that dark empire move; to see what makes them tick and what baleful deeds they commit. It's dark fantasy, grounded in real world history, mythology and folklore, hooked into the wider Warhammer world in general, and into Chaos and the Dawi Zharr's relation to the wider Chaos in particular.
The End Times have not stopped it, so obviously the end of the Warhammer Fantasy setting was a false alarm, as would the new Total Warhammer games likewise attest to.
Crafted by many talented hands and learned minds, Warhammer was, and remains the king of classic fantasy, based on Tolkien and history with a dark twist.
This is our tribute to the darkly humorous fantasy smörgåsbord world of Warhammer, where life is quenched to the cruel laughter of uncaring gods.
This is our offering.
