Thanks, Danny! The more and more I paint these models, I find that these mix of browns work really well on them. There's something about how they catch the ridges and make the various layers pop. I tend to prefer it.

Oooh the Kharibdyss! I love that model. When it came out i had to get it. Like the oop hydra. It's got a dark elven sleekness to it that the new kit lacks. That said the new kit is amazing purely due to the Kharibdyss. Your dreadlord looks suitably evil as well

I really like it too! I managed to get a little more work done on it last night. It's coming along nicely! This will be the first of two. I like this color scheme, but I'm having a little trouble trying to decide on a specific color scheme for the second one. I'm kinda leaning toward an Aquamarine/Blue-to-Green combo. It might be kinda similar to this one but I'm okay with that. In my mind they should look a little similar. Just so long as I can clearly discern a difference. What do you guys think?

Ooooh. They both look very nice. I think i slightly prefer the second scheme.
How did you paint the poison droplet? It's subtle but one of my favorite parts of the model.

I finished some Darkshards. I hope you like them! I'm coming close to completing all of the Dark Elves I have and I'm trying to think about how I want to base all of them. I know that I want a theme of a pirate army invading a coastal village, but I'm not sure exactly sure how to go about that. I plan on making the Kharibdis's appear to be coming out of the surf, but I'm not sure what to do with the rest. Any ideas?

You don't like Legend of Drizzt?!? I LOVED those books! Much better than most GW books I've read. I guess to each their own. Anyway, I managed to take a few pics of the Shades that I've done. I've been rather consumed with the Thanksgiving holidays and taking care of the babies, so my painting has taken a bit of a back seat lately, but I did manage to finish these Shades and I am almost done with my Cold One Knights as well as the Corsair unit. Hopefully I'll have those us soon. I had to do a little bit of work on these guys because two of them had their swords broken off and none of them had their Crossbow bows on them. I improvised a bit. Must have missed this post originally. When I said double z I meant the Drizzt spelling (your first post has a single z for his name). I was absolutely not grading the book series double z. I'm a huge fan!! I actually like a lot of R.A Salvatore's work. Homeland is still one of my faves and I live the politics of Menza........ I've not read the most recent Drizzt books but have read like the first 15. Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxarle are my 2 favorite characters. I absolutely agree that they are much better than most Warhammer fantasy books and the Legend of Drizzt is my overall favorite fantasy book series. Random geeky aside on Drizzt and his power level.... Drizzt featured in the PC game Baldur's gate which was set in the forgotten realms as an NPC. I actually hacked the game the bring Drizzt and the games last boss together for an epic fight to see who would win..... The games developers clearly had the right idea when doing Drizzt's stats/magic items for the game and Drizzt won the battle.. as he well should! Sword to sword Drizzt would pimp smack Tyrion and Malekith one after the other and I'd take Gromph Baenre to out magic Morothai all day everyday!
