I'm going to do a massive increase from my usual 1/2 models a month and pledge my Ungor Regiment ready for tabletop. Thats 30 miniatures! (A record for me, including unit fillers as what they represent) Wip photot attached. I've decided on a regal blue as a unifying colour to help blend my plebs together. "The royal plebs" the unit is hereby known as. I've started greenstuffing my mega werewolf and mounted it on a chariot base (Mierce Miniatures) so I'll likely finish the gap filling for this guy.

I made some progress on my 22 Knights Panther this weekend! I'm excited about this unit. rightly so. These guys will turn out great. BUT, where is the musician? can't have 22 knights without a single trumpet.

Good catch. Yeah, I didn't have a left handed trumpet, etc. in my bitz box anywhere, and since most of these came second hand, I just didn't worry about it. You're right though, I might have to do some modifications. There are a few guys in there with access to their mouth!

what's wrong with right handed trumpets? you hit a very important point though. don't be a chump and give the musician a bucket helmet.

Final wipage. I'm very happy with how quick the Ungor were to get to 'playable' stage. Just a minimal bit of work to go and I'll call it a jobs a good un.

I also really like the look of all the lances. If I could give a musician a horn to toot in his non-lance-arm, and just strap a shield on his back, that'd be ideal. Kinda hard to strap a lance to a back.

I must admit, I've fallen off my target goal for this month a bit. I've been working on piecing together parts of my Ogre Ironblaster for the past few nights. That's been more of a challenge than I originally thought. There are so many bits and pieces to it, that I'll have to build it in parts, paint it up, then glue the separate parts together. There's just no way to get all the detail in there otherwise. (Not a good way at least.)

mottdon you are allwed too fall of any time. You are still ages in front of us Well, it's not a competition or race for me, it's more about time management. With a full-time job that sets 50 hr work weeks as average, the quads at home all vying for a minute if Daddy's time when I get home, household obligations, spending adequate time with my wife, etc....it doesn't leave much time for hobby. Therefore, being able to churn out models becomes rather important to me. But this past week I've had a cold (thanks kids) and just didn't feel like doing very much. I'll try to change that this weekend.

I’m just going to try and paint something this month. I’ve not pick up a brush in around 3 weeks for one reason or another.

While you slackers were lagging behind and falling sick I successfully increased my pledge miniature output by over 1600% !! 😀 J/k, not really having a dig at you guys, you consistently pump out huge amounts of great stuff. Pledge 225 point unit of Ungor complete and with 2/3 of the month to spare.

Lol! Just you wait....
The Ungores look great. I don't recall ever seeing an Ungor unit with more attention paid to it! Most that I've seen are usually only primed black. Lol.

The Ungors are looking good, and the 20mm bases were definitely the right option - that closely-packed forest of spears looks menacing. I still thing the tongue guy is capable of inflicting the most unpleasant death in the Warhammer world - being licked to death by a stinking Ungor.
As for painting when ill, I've only managed to do that once - when painting my Corpse Cart, which kind of worked as I felt I could empathise with the mouldering bodies piled up in the back.
My Longbeards are complete save for bases, so I should be able to get photos up early next week. Onto the Hammerers for me now.

ungors look great and the giant tongue is appropriately disturbing. Now, Grandmasterwang paints a rank-n-file unit? what's next? world peace and donuts for everyone?
