I'm probably going to put these guys on *shudder* AoS bases. They'll probably sell much better since AoS 2 will be coming out soon.

The Hammerers are over halfway through now - I just have beards, gems, the banner, and bases to do. I'm not sure I'll get the basing done by the end of the month, but I'm going to try. I won't be doing a character or warmachines this month - maybe next.

mottdon 😊 think you will do very fine selling them lizzies on ebay. I actually have a friend buying just that(painted lizzies on ebay). Will be fun to see if he picks up anything you paint 😊 I think He needs salamanders 😉 Talking about lizzies the new models from lost kingdom is just crazy good!

Lost Kingdom? I'll have to check those out! And sorry, I don't have any Salamanders that I'll be selling right now. I just got the lot I bought in yesterday. I'll post some pics here. Lots of stuff!

This is what I got, minus the two that I've been already working on there. But I plan on adding those two in the eBay posting as well. I think I'm going to keep those 10 Temple Guard for myself though.

Well, I started breaking into these boxes over the weekend and putting many of the models together. So far, I have 16 Cold One Mounts assembled along with the 10 Temple Guard. I also primed both and started painting the 5 Cold One Riders that I had not previously painted (the ones with spears). I have to admit, I LOVE seeing so many COR on the table all at once! Looks so cool, and sooooo tempting........ They may just all have to go on square bases! Definitely keeping the TG though. That gives me 30. I also managed to get some more work done on the Bastiladon's Solar Engine. It's pretty much complete now. I just need to finish the 3 riders and it's base. The Stegadon's throne is much more slow-going because there are SO MANY tiny details to pick out on it. I really want to do a good job on it.

That looks quality mottdon, at this rate I’m going to be buying it from your eBay account 😉 What I’d love is a mini tutorial on how you did the colour on the carapace.

The Bastilodon was really disappointing for me when it was first released, as the ankylosaurus has always been my favourite dinosaur, and the GW version looked like a cartoony Pokemon version. But the more times I see it painted, and the cool effects that you've managed on its carapace, the more I want to buy one.

hey, so much progress all around!
strutsagget, you are knocking out a CD whole army in the time it takes me to paint up an Iron Daemon. Very impressive. For my taste you are overdoing it a bit with the 'corporate colors' by using the blue flames on the Fireborn. but, really just a matter of taste. it is well done, painting wise.
mottdon, glad to read you are struggling with your conscience regarding bringing more AoS models into this world. But remember: money can buy you happiness...in the form of more 8th edition models. Are you going to gloss up the crystals? I really like your paint job so far.

Yeah, I plan on applying a medium glaze to the crystals as a final step, once I'm sure I'm happy with everything. I'm waiting for a few scenery parts to come in before tackling the base, so might be a bit just yet. I just plan on moving ahead with the rest of the stuff.
As far as struggling with the models goes, I REALLY want to see how 30 Cold One Knights would do in a game. Those just might have to stay with me. I'm thinking 14 with Hand Weapon, Shields and a Scar-Vet, then 14 with Spears, Shields and Scar-Vet. Those would make two hard-hitting units. Also, if I choose not to use all of them in a game, then I should have plenty to represent either option I use.
*The more I think about it, the more I find myself gritting my teeth about using square bases over round. AoS does, after all, say that you can use square bases in that game. The bigger models I might just mount on round bases because I have several just sitting around, though.

Hammerers are complete - that brings me up to 70 dwarves (or 1110 points) painted in 2 months, which I'm very happy with. I'm not going to paint a character this month - that'll have to wait until July, but I'll try to get the Thunderers built this week.
