I thought the Skaven never had actual magic cards? Huh... They did, though as knoffles said they were produced for the 7th Edition lores, with similar packs being released for High Elves, Beastmen and Daemons of Chaos, all before the 8th Edition books were produced. The Skaven ones were released in January 2011.

I couldn’t help myself and picked up a late 80’s wood elf musician with harp. I just love the older Jes Goodwin sculpts

What kind of size are those War Mammoths?
And did you get the riders for the Manticore? They're the best part of the kit.

This isn't even all of it. There's another 60 Mortek skeletons, 10 cavalry, 6 "ushabti" and 40 zombies.

Been on a huge buying spree filling in as many gaps in my collection as I've been able too. Three months ago, my surviving Fantasy rule collection was just this (plus the small 7th and 8th Ed rulebooks): Today I've expanded it to this (and I've a couple more 6th Ed army book stuck inside the postal system but on the way) That's also the Skaven uniform book sneaking behind the city of the white wolf, which I got for a really good price. Also been buying up a lot of older models that I missed out on for what ever reason and been itching to paint over the years. One of the gems was finally snagging this: Now it was missing one of the little plates with the bolts on it, but thats a very easy fix with some Blue & Green stuff and its painted but not glued together, so its going to need to be stripped. But due to the missing piece & paint job I got it for a good price and I'd missed out on grabbing this model so many times in the past! I'd still like to get a 2nd, but at least the chase for even one is finally over!

Managed to get some witch elves for a less than terrible price, surprisingly for less each than current price for the plastic kit costs, even at with FLGS discount. Some of my favourite sculpts, even with some of their oddness. Not sure how many I want to aim for and really not sure if I want to keep buying metal ones or mix in some of the plastic ones I have- I have one partial set that I used for skirmish warbands, a whole set that came in the battleforce and a couple of spares from the underworlds set. (Which currently gives me enough to get a big old horde of 50 of them, with some a unit filler or some clever basing to fill a couple of gaps.) I'm not sure how well the plastics and metals will go together though. I may have to push to putting these on 25mm bases though. They are just too cramped on 20mm and I've got used to having the 25s to play around with basing with my oathmark armies. Whilst I intended to have them on the 'official' basing sizes (on the very small off chance that the old world is both sticking to old basing sizes and turns out to be really, really good. 25s are not a problem for using in 8th Ed & 6th as my group will be fine with it) I love these models too much to compromise them by sticking them on a base that forces me to rank them up weirdly.

I agree the riders are great, i have the wizard somewhere from a previous trade. Mammoths are pretty big 🦣 . As knoffles has said, certainly larger than a chariot base. I've taken some size comparison photos. 2 mammoths per GOT boxset pack. Different trunk poses it seems but identically sized. I was only expecting 1, so 2 pretty detailed models makes me pretty impressed with the kit. Pictures show a mammoth compared with 2 chariot based beasties. A Dnd mammoth and a not quite yet painted ready for the battlefield Slaughterbrute. In all photos the bases are lined up to the front. The behind and top down photo show how muchlonger the GOT mammoths are. It's not a super tall model but definitely has some heft to it.
