Avatars of War have some "Dark Elf Princesses" in the works: They haven't yet given more detail on them. It looks like maybe a multipart plastic kit - hopefully not that crappy plastic they've used in some of their kits before. They're kind of Witch-Elfy, but some have shields, and they've got a lot more armour on them. From a WFB point of view, I'm not sure what they'd really be, aside from random characters. Some might remember AoW did a Witch Elf kit a few years before GW's plastic kit came out - the AoW ones were panned; they were crap quality, and had infamous "sex doll" mouths. These look better (so far), but I'd question why they're releasing this when the market for female Dark Elves that appeal to teenage males is already well served (GW, Raging Heroes to name a couple). Yeah, I'm afraid AoW just releases whatever the owner is interested in playing at that time. Seems so, anyway. I know of a few sculptors who have done the odd one-off model for them, but they seem to be few a far between. He obviously was really into Dwarfs for some time, I guess he's into DE, atm.

FYI, this is "Slayer Week" for AoW and they are offering their 20 Slayer Dwarf unit for €20 for anyone looking to add to their Slayer army. Not a bad deal really. They're usually €35. I bought two.

Ooooh, I've just bought 20 from ebay for £22!
Could do with more... I also bought the Goblin Hewer & 15 Long Drong Slayers, so I may as well get more!

They've re-released their old Dwarf BSB - however, in limited stocks (just 100, of which they're down to 70 now apparently). The original was apparently unstable (no surprise) so this time the dwarf is in metal but the banner in some plastic/resin material: avatars-of-war.com/sh/en/dwarfs/160-dwarf-battle-standard-bearer.htmlDecent model, but I think I'm comfortable with my Forge World Dwarf BSB.

Those Wight Kings are pretty cool. The first one has a very "Krell" like look to it.

I get a feeling AoW is doing some kind of copy mimic of GW.
Whenever GW makes new releases it seems AoW releases miniatures within the same Army.
Coincidentally?

Love that second Wraith model, may lose the sword and us it for Blood Bowl purposes.

I really like them. The Krell model is especially nice! I don't care for the scythe blades too much, but the floating effect on the Wraiths is sweet.

according the AoW site, they all come on 25mm bases. And they fill them out pretty well. That would take some creativity to base for 8th.
