Dark Elves were my first WFB army about 6 years ago, and I've since added sizeable quantities of Wood Elves and a good amount of High Elves too. The photos I'm uploading tonight are mostly not recent ones, as my painting focus has been elsewhere the last couple of years. When the End Times came along, my idea was to combine the forces into one Host of the Eternity King, but I've never actually ended up playing that way. Nevertheless, the colour schemes are intended to allow them to work together - the Dark Elves are Purple/Green, Wood Elves Green/White, and High Elves Purple/White. Red is used across all three to pick out units with a special allegiance (e.g. Khainite Dark Elves). I'll start with the first WFB units I ever painted - Dark Elf Warriors. There are some terrible attempts (or non-attempts) at eyes across a few of my early units, badly tanned Dark Elves, and awful banners - the painting standard is well off what I'd like to think mine is now, but they look okay on the tabletop.

And finally (for Dark Elves), the Master I recently completed, plus a kitbashed BSB also made from the chariot kit - unpainted so far: Hmm, it won't let me attach the other two photos - I'm getting this message: "Error: This forum has exceeded its attachment space limit. Your file cannot be uploaded." - that's not good... Attachments:

Those look awesome! Makes me want to get out some of my DE and work some more on them.... Gotta stay the course.
Hmmm....that doesn't sound good about the attachments. I didn't know that there was such a thing.

Well, I just tried posting a pic to a different thread and was able to. Maybe it's something on your end?

Was the image hosted elsewhere, though? I've been using the "Add Attachment" button in the top right to upload my images directly to the forum without needing to host them elsewhere.

I'll try Imgur... was hoping not to host images elsewhere after what happened with Photobucket not too long ago. Anyhow, here's the back of the Master, plus the (unpainted) converted BSB:

Wood Elves: Glade Guard: Dryads, Drycha and Branchwraith: Treekin - converted with some extra Dryad parts to make them a little bulkier and more interesting: Old school Treeman - again converted with some Dryad bits plus some railway modelling tree bits: Mage (Mordheim one): Converted Glade Captain on Eagle - Eldaroth: Darkweaver on Unicorn, unpainted so far - the mount is the Warploque Miniatures "Unithorn" so will be painted similar to the Dryads etc. The rider is Glade Rider legs, Sisters of the Thorn body and arms, High Elf Mage staff, Glade Guard cloak, and Sisters of Averlorn head. Plus various bits on the base: The unpainted riders for my Warhawk Riders - I'm using more of the Hobbit Eagles for the warhawks:

Nice! Those are some awesome conversions! LOVE the DE BSB! Where did you get that cloak on him from?!? That just MAKES the piece!
And, yes, I use Imagur to host all of my pics. I find that it is easier to work across multiple platforms through them.

Thanks. The Dark Elf BSB's body (cloak, torso and legs) is the Beastmaster from the Scourgerunner Chariot kit. It's far too good a piece to be just hidden away in a chariot.

Beautiful conversions. Love the dryad unit and what you have done with the treeman and treekin really makes them stand out!
Eaglelord is cool.
