Sorry no updates last week. Was on vacation, but now that I’m back I’ve started highlighting areas and thinking about the freehand pattern I want for the robes. Should post some progress pics soon!

That's a spectacular looking unit you've got there.
Can your BSB not even fit in at one of the front corners?

Nice! I like the linked bone detail on their skirts/kilts (?) Looks great!
Can you put your BSB up on a big rock or something? I've used that before to elevate a character so that he'd fit in a unit. It also makes him stand out a bit more on the table top.

That's a spectacular looking unit you've got there. Can your BSB not even fit in at one of the front corners? Sadly, no. It’s the great weapons on the Wights. They stick out a lot and the wight pose is not helpful by leaning forward too. I’m just going to build a grave guard that fits behind the BSB and paint that up real quick. Now that I have nailed down the paint scheme, I paint fairly quickly. Just irritating, like sand in your swim suit. Thank you btw for positive paint comment! I find in my old age, I am more accepting of a “quickie” paint job for my tabletop! Sadly there are few to no painting contests in my area, so I find little motivation to do exceptional paint jobs anymore. 😕

It also makes him stand out a bit more on the table top. Thanks for the idea. I’ve done that for my chaos characters, I had a similar problem with them. In this case the GG weapons and pose plus the BSB weapon, banner, sword and scabbard all blend for a perfect pain in the toosh for unit fit. Thank you for the kind comment on the GG bone pattern!!! Sadly, I have another unit of 30 with sword and board to do!! 😳

Yeah, that's a great unit, enough shade, and highlight to look good but not too much to keep painting fast enough.
I have the same problem with my chaos dwarfs not ranking up, especially with the bsb. Working on unit fillers to add more space and getting a pillar for the bsb.

I would probably get one of your normal GW Grave Guard and re-configure (mangle) his arms/weapon until your guy fits next to him. They will then stand next to each other for eternity

Excellent. The Grave Guard unit looks really nice and I certainly wasn't to see 2 Chaos Dwarf staples get painted up. I love both of those classic models.
