I will rarely watch live tournament games, but I massively prefer written reports. Less time investment for me, I find them overall more interesting, and I find static images tend to give the models better focus, more presence, and you can get those epic model's eye view shots better than with video. I feel like video reports are more about the players and their personalities and written reports are more about the armies themselves.

I prefer videos, but also like the oncebitten360 where he has still shots and then talks. I am thinking about doing that myself later on as my writing takes so much time.

I don't watch video reports at all - I've just never got into them. I love reading reports; before I signed up here, the only recent 8th edition reports I could find to read were on your blog. same here. I just get so much more out of written reports with still photos. Plus if it's a bad video, you would just turn it off, whereas a bad write-up I will still glance through and maybe find a nugget or two of useful information. That being said, I suspect videos are more popular...although, does it really count if one focuses on getting the laundry folded correctly while the battle report runs in the background? Same here really, plus I can slyly read battle reports in work where as I can't really listen to a video without it being more obvious

Thank you all for the feedback and ideas. I'm going to start planning out what it would take to maybe do 1 video report a month, and 1 weekly written report. That, in addition to a weekly talk show on YouTube/video podcast I think could be interesting. On to some planning...!

Yeah but it feels like every Rule is wrong Let me rephrase my self, I still love that they are doing this. It is a game meant to be fun first of all and getting the rules right is not as important. I do think people tend to complain about the rules a little bit too much in these videos(I am guilty of this too). I just can't help feeling for CD after assembling a huge amount last couple of months.

I checked with my gaming group. They all seem to prefer video. As they watch while that paint and so on.

I must admit that I enjoy both, like Knoffles I tend to have YouTube videos etc on while I'm doing other stuff and I also enjoy looking over written reports when I have more time to sit.

Watched them all this week. Great stuff. I don’t know if you guys read the comments, but there was some dude trying to suggest that the terrorgeist would have been unwound-able due to his toughness. So MM was like 6s bruh, and the dude wasn’t satisfied. I mean, I know people don’t always interpret things the same, but this one has a chart.

I was planning on filming the first battle report today, but after some testing, I need a new lens for the camera. So first report will be filmed maybe next weekend!

I dont know about the terrorgeist but i remember an argument between steve and a poster about the k`daii destroyer and in this case the poster was right. If you play without the chaosdwarf faq (as they did) the destroyer can not be wounded by str 4 or less.
