Figured i might as well join the fun and post some random stuff I've worked on. I am very much an 8th Edition fan and everything i paint i plan on using in 8th/Chillhammer eventually hoho. I call this guy Greyworm. .. may or may not have been inspired by Game of Thrones. This is a Reaper mini base coated. Ready for battle. Most likely to be used as an Ogre bruiser. Burning Chariot. My fist fully painted Tzeentch model. Moonface the Chaos lord (Tzeentch) ....eventually I'll paint him

It's Mac toniiiiighhhhttt! Did you feel bad spending $25 on that chaos lord? I did. Kinda.... considering their current new blister pack prices he seems like a bargain! Can't believe he is half the price of the new stuff. I'm actually really happy i got him though. I didn't like the big horn head it came with... however those 2 horns actually became a part of my Beastlord in a bit of inspiration. Originally i didn't know what to do with him... however taking a look at the Chaos Lord head and his (now shaven) horns... Hoodhorn the Rabbit Lord was born! Pic to come hehe

Touched up my Eversor. The eyes pop a bit more now. Arbaal the Undefeated. Always wanted to paint this OOP model and finally did. Clocks in at 325 points. 325 point face off! Vs the Land Squid (Watcher in the Water). The Land Squid is a Stubborn Leadership 8 Arachnarok Spider rules wise from Storm of Magic which we play in 8th as a 325 points pick. It has actually rarely if ever run. Usually just dies lol. I honestly think it has failed like 1 leadership test of like 30 in its history. It is staunch!

Arbaal is one of my all-time favorites. He looks very "classic" with the green. Like the old NJ Devils uniforms.

Lookin' good! I like your Craterface Moonface lord! Haha thank you. Im thinking of a Tzeentch blue tint to his armor and a bright yellow head. I don't know if any of you have read the Magical Faraway Tree trilogy by Enid Blyton (great kids books) but that was what inspired me. Head from the Burning chariot kit which i recommend. Its the same price as a new single pose character blister!

He was pictured in some of my first White Dwarfs and i tried to mimic his original colour scheme. The banner was a huge hassle due to his slanty banner pole. I had to bend and glue the hell out of it. Happy with the final result though.

Yeah a fantasy character. He just looked too puny on his original 40mm base with overhang hence my use of the larger round. In 8th he rages around as a solo beat stick so no need for him to slot into a unit. I believe it was the 'Champions of Chaos' supplement for Fantasy where he first appeared. I believe he made his first appearance alongside Von Horstmann. Arbaal himself is small compared with new chaos knights but Arbaal has always been about the technique anyway

Joke character i did a while ago from spare bits including a Bull Centaur body, Ghorgon horn bit and thundertusk horns. As you can see my greenstuff work needs work heh. Thankfully i am a bit better now. This guy is 225 points and is known as 'The Harbinger of bad proportions' or The Harbinger for short. Seemingly a shell controlled by this nefarious blue entity who knows what the Harbinger truly is or what it's purposes are. Occasionally it appears on battlefields causing devastation as it rampages into combat seemingly pulled (or not?) by 2 spectral steeds.

Your Arbaal looks great! Painted classically with the green, indeed.
Arbaal first appeared in the 4th edition Realm of Chaos book. Then revised in 5th edition's Champions of Chaos. Always one of my favorite special characters.
grandmaster, seriously, why is he on a round base though?

I know you love your square bases and i love the 8th ruleset but when i play with my friends we incorporate round bases into 8th/Chillhammer so it's not a huge deal. I don't really play AOS or 40k but i did think he could also be used for these.

This was a mini Chillhammer game i had with my wife who is slowly understanding the rules of Warhammer. If i recall this was a 750 point monster bash. I'm posting this to show that i don't discriminate against bases round or rectangle. All can coexist with me. For the purposes of playing (we use 8th rules) all rounds are treated as if they were square for charge arcs etc.

Battle of the tentacles!! The Toxicrene i just loved as a kit. In Warhammer we play him as a full 500 point pick. Rulewise he is basically a souped up Arachnarok spider on crack! Only 6 wounds but a 5+/5+ save gives it some durability. Due to the sensitive tentacles this beast strikes at I6. As the Toxicrene is super poisonous rather than a web laucher it lauches a poisonous cloud similar to it does in 40k.
