Bone giant from Reaper Bones range. I use this as a Necrofex Colossus from the Forgeworld Monstrous Arcanum expansion. It is mounted on an Arachnarok base. It's quite a large miniature. The rock/dead guy at the front of the base is from the LOTR Watcher in the Water kit. I can see why Wilson converted his considering how heavy the front weight arm is. I put the rocks there just to prop it up.

My first Mantic miniature wip. Assembled and gap filled. I always like lions and thought this was a good model. I don't plan on using the rider.

In case you ever play a "Competitive" non-monster-mash game: I brought 2 units of Dragon Ogres to a Tourney on 40mm x 40mm bases. They are (supposed) to go on 50mm x 75mm bases now... which I don't think look as good. Yours looks great.

I really like what you did with your Reaper Bone Giant. I have that one as well and I'm struggling to figure out what to do with it's base. Your's looks great! I might have to do something similar. Two question: Why the A-rock base? What is the base size supposed to be?

I like how they look on 40mm squares but honestly the tail does stick out a fair bit and the new models are even bigger so 50 x 75 is probably a better fit if you want more than 1 rank. How did you run your units? I have played competitively with my Chaos Dwarfs (Tamurkhan list) actually cleaning up a tournament champion with them in a lol moment. I have 3 Bull Centaurs (oop metals) on cavalry bases which i run like that in Chillhammer but for the 'competitive' games i had to put them on blank 50×75 bases like the forgeworld models. They looked like they were swimming in a sea of black haha. I unfortunately do not own any of the new models. One day i'd like to get some to have next to my conversions and oop models. In Chillhammer i have actually run 'Team Dragon Ogre' a couple of times with no success at all lol but it's fun. I have a MPG Kholek which i really like (bought in Japan painted) and 2 Shaggoths so did a full 2000 point list with nothing but dragon ogres Damn White lions are brutal to face with such a list though. I love the lore of the Dragon Ogres. Ill have to post team Dragon Ogre in all its glory sometime

Two question: Why the A-rock base? What is the base size supposed to be? They don't specify a base size in Monstrous Arcanum if i recall but it is supposed to be a large monster and can be used as a 500 point version (or more if you give it wizard levels. I just use mine as a 275 point pick. I used the big base for a couple reasons. It gave me space to put the rock bit (from LOTR watcher in the water kit) to prop up the weighted arm which sagged so much. Some reaper models i just use the Bones original base but the weighted arm basically toppled the model forwards and made the pose goofy in a way i didn't like. The second and probably main reason is i couldn't get it on a chariot or even 100x60 base facing forwards with no base overhang from the original Bones base. I didn't want to trim the attached base down so the Arachnarok base was the best solution for me. I am happy with the final result as the big guy now has the stability i require and looks imposing on his big base. Normally he gets used as an ally for Vampire Counts or Tomb Kings. I am finicky in that i like all my monsters facing forwards when on their base so i can look them directly in the eye..... or my opponents have to ehehehe.

Taking a page out of Wilson's book I got this guy in a small fossil set. Planning on painting and putting him on a cavalry base. Ill prob just proxy him as a pleb 15 point skeletal horseman. Wip updates. Dawn Serpent is coming along. Kholek!! I love this mini. It's based directly off of the art in the Warriors of Chaos book. He is the leader of my dragon ogres. Kholek gives some orders to his newest underling.

Btw Mottdon regarding the Reaper Bone Giant's base i now remember a forgeworld representative was asked if the Necrofex was being developed (it wasnt unfortunately ) and which base was best used for a Necrofex Colossus conversion and they advised by email to use the same 150x100 base as used for a Kdaii Destroyer so that may also have had some bearing on my choosing the Arachnarok base. I mainly choose it for aesthetics though. As you can see I'm not one to stick to 'official' bases.

Kholek is SO MUCH BIGGER than the stock 1998 Dragon Ogres. My goodness, he's on a different planet.

Slark wip Dawn Serpent wip and Kharibdyss The incomparable Kharibdyss model... now with extra tufts. I really like this mini. I painted parts of it bright orange to signal its poisonous ability. Looking forward to seeing Mottdon' finished one. The more painted versions of this epic miniature the better! My guy ate his dark elf slavers! Freedom!!!!
