I use that guy as a nurgle daemon prince in my Death Guard army. He’s a great Bones mini. He’s got a weird pentagram on his forehead that I puttied over. I know. I saw that about 2 days after I bought mine!We have the same DP. But I converted mine to carry a big rusty axe/halberd. Plus, I am decking mine out in rusty chains as well. Plus, mine is on a 50mm x 100mm base, atop a large piece of ruined masonry/rubble. They'll be cousins (but not brothers).

My little sister got me this castle via Amazon for my birthday today. WooHoo! Came all the way from Ukraine. Sweet packaging and stamps and so forth. Need to fully assemble to answer the scale question fully, but... Seems in the ballpark. Maybe a tad undersized.

If you get those, I'm interested to see what the quality is like. I've been eyeing up Titan Forge's vampiric bats for a while.

Ordered the 3 pack on eBay last night for $42. It'll be a week til they get here, and by that time I'll be underwater/busy/crazy for getting my Tomb Kings army, proper, dusted off and ready for the 11/2-3-4/18 Campaing weekend. And then a work trip... and then Thanksgiving... I expect I'll be painting those dudes in early December. And yes, "dusted off" was an intentional pun.

From the Chroniclers of King Lakhashar, first of his name, Emperor of the Sands, and ruler of the Lands of the Dead. This advance report is taken with regards to upcoming season of action of the might armies of our grand high King. We begin with a prayer to the God Anor-Goll, God of Flies and God of Dust.
Anor-Goll, we implore you, know that the Legions of Lybaras are at war. We call upon you, the Plague Fly to bring your death and your disease and your despair to our enemies. We add to the boiling cauldron that which spawns pestilence, and brings forth the frogs and the toads, the lice, the scarabs, the locusts and the beetles… for all of things the crawl and things that creep, Anor-Goll, we give profane praise to you.
To Anor-Goll; we beseech; make it so the livestock fall to death; the horses and donkeys and camels and the cattle and sheep and goats. Our enemies use these creatures to make war. We ask you to stop them from making war through the sudden striking down of their beasts. Make it so their beasts die and rot and cannot even be used as meat.
For the true enemies of Lybaras shall feel your wrath with sores and boils and coughing of blood. If they should oppose, you shall make them weak. Those who are unable to lift the sword will certainly fall before our legions. They must know this well, should they try and oppose Our King and Our Prince in the Land of the Dead – they will have been marked for the most horrific torture imaginable.
We close, Anor-Goll, in saying that through your strength we shall defeat and destroy forever the fell Necromancer Nagash and his servants. Our mighty hammer and our sharp spear exist to cut down the False God Nagash. We give praise to King Lakhashar, we curse Nagash. Thus ends our prayer to you, Lord of Gloom, Anor-Goll.
**
Today is the dawning of the new year, [Imperial year 2524] and our Potent King Lakhashar decreed that once again our armies must be mobilized. The endless fight continues. The Land of the Dead is almost ours again, and that which is not held by us directly is held by our ally – the Mortal Warriors of Khorne. We tolerate their presence in our land so long as they do not loot our gold and or tombs. But on the morrow, the armies of Lybaras march to War! Where to? Those marching orders have been placed securely and secretly in the hands (or would that be skeletal claws) of the Generals and Lieutenants of Lybaras. Over hill and through rivers, across the coats and up the mountains. Like a shadow at Twilight, the armies of King Lakhashar will swell forth to consume their enemies. So it is written....

In character. King Lakhashar:
“My Trusted and Reliable Ka-Lakmil, It has been 20 days and 20 nights since my Grand Army left the temporary command center of Lysto-en-Arbal. My armies march across the hills, the sand dunes, and across the mountains tirelessly to Glory. We encounter no resistance as we go. Our negotiations with the various factions of Warriors of Chaos have proven to opportune. The legions of Khorne march side by side with us towards New Nagashizzar. They are only mortals and they slow our march somewhat, but they will be valuable assets yet – of this I am sure. These legions come with us from the Land of the Dead and one must assume they are to be trusted. Have we opened negotiations with they yet as to the Black Pyramid? We must discuss this further in our future correspondence.
The other factions of Warriors of Chaos are non-adversarial. Is this truly the Legions of Archaon? We are allowed to march unchecked through their lands. Gates open to us. You have been the one in contact with them. What drives these armor-clad champions of Evil? What are they trying to achieve?? You and I, we have an understanding as to what might be considered a trusted ally, versus an enemy, and they all points in between. My overarching goals do not involve smiting these Warriors of Chaos, of either faction. They are allowed by My Will to exist. We do not seek battle with them, but whether they seek to engage us remains to be seen. If they do, we shall smite them.
My last letter contained a detailed list of the siege equipment we shall need to make war upon the walls of New Nagashizzar. Axes, arrows, ladders, and swords. Missiles. We shall launch our attack with rocks and with magic, upon the wings, and with the strong arms of the unrivalled Thaqil of Lybaras. Are the special siege engines you designed ready as of yet? We have some number of weeks still until my army is encamped upon the gates. I trust our equipment will be ready and prepared to bring the city to its knees. You have never failed me before, do not fail me this time.

In character. Prince Lahkashaz:
“Father, As always, I was eager to lead our elite troops into conquest. We boarded the great flotilla that you had provided and made an uneventful landfall in the Lands of Lava and the Lands of Demons. For much of the Journey we were within sight of the forces led by Ka-Lakmil. They eventually sailed a bit further along the coast than did my contingent. We disembarked, and I immediately set the legions to work building a frugal command tower. From this tower three great banner poles were erected. First, I planted the flag of Lybaras. Then, I raised the new war pennant of Lysto-en-Arbal. Third, and perhaps most importantly I raised your personal heraldry. You, my liege, are now in control of a small empire on the Dark Lands.
After some days on the march, we found a fortification. This is called the “Demon Factory” by local intelligence. It was defended by a small garrison. Sadly, my Necropolis Knights were unable to ride their great beasts into battle nor were my skeleton Archer scouts able to ride their skeletal steeds unopposed to a flanking position. This was to a direct assault against the walls. Thus handicapped, I was still able to mount an offensive against the defended fortification that would have made you proud. We brought forth a mighty wheeled tower that was pushed forward unrelentingly by our rank and file soldiery. I was, Father and Commander, the first over the bridge and on to the Battlements. My sword sang through the air that day.
We crushed and scattered the defenders… various Hobgoblins and Dark Dwarves. They have fled, and no survivors were spared the knife. The Legions of Lybaras suffered no casualties of note. You know me better than I know myself sometimes, I am content to leave the affairs of state and of law to you and ask that I can wholly embrace the tactics of a battle – the infantry, the charge, the terrain. This proved effective as you are now the proud owner of the “Demon Factory” delivered to you by your second born son. From a Prince; All glory to you, my King.
Upon this successful action, my key troops were able to recombine with their mounts and we sallied forth across the great plains. I lead a restored and confident force that is certain to bring battle to those that would oppose it. We move quickly, and we hit hard – to know me is to fear me. ---

We had a fine, fine game last night. With TheREALricksalamone My Tomb Kings versus Archaon himself. 3000 vs 3000. It was about a 6 hour game. TK.
My force had two blocks of QTY 8 Ushabti. One block was Great Weapons, one block with Giant Bows. My other strong suit was two units of QTY 3 Deep Striking (Entombed Beneath the Sands) Necropolis Knights. I had four Magic users; namely - 1 Lvl4 of Nehekhara, 2 Lvl1 Bright, and 1 Hierotitan. The overall game plan was to get buffs off on the Necro Knights and or Ushabti. The rest of my army was rounded out by a few Necrotects to tag along with Ushabi. A couple blocks of skeleton warriors (50, 15), a couple blocks of skeleton archers (30, 30). I brought two Screaming Skull Catapults. I brought 6 Carrion. Arch.Lots of scary things. Mostly, a unit of 12 Knights with Archaon. Properly ---- The Swords of Archaon. A couple of beefy Khorne units, a couple of HellCannons. Some marauders, a sorcerer, a spawn, an some Forsaken. Pictures, forthcoming.
