I saw that there are 4 soe dial characters from 6th and the errtany war list that technically speaking could still be used alongside our armybook since there was no book update.
I was wondering if anyone might have fielded them in 8th, I'm referring to
Characters:
Tancred Duc De Quenelles Bagrian, Abbot of la Maisontal
Tristan and Jules Sir Amalric
And the etterny war list from storm of chaos. If anyone needs to see the rules I have a link. But I saw some guides are adding storm of magic units so I thought I'd mention it.

How well does the riyal air force type list work in 8th? Probably not brilliantly. Steadfast and step up, work to remove much of the advantages it had in previous editions (long charges, strong attacks removing the ability for them to strike back and so likely winning combat and then running down units).

stallion12: There was no 8th edition AB, but there was an Official Update Version (last version 1.6), bringing the 6th edition AB in line with the 8th edition BRB. So, technically speaking, you cannot use anything else, except (as always) with the specific agreement of your opponent.

That's fair, back in 7th people used to use the storm of chaos lists if no new armybook came out. Eventually everyone but us got one. Must have been a club house rule.

Ah ok. What about fielding 3 small pegasus knight units? Since it's common to put a lord on a royal pegasus anyway.
