Look amazing imo! New slayers and the Salamander looks incredible! Shame they are for AOS but surely if any AOS release is deserving of an 8th Edition ruleset it's these guys. Surely the fans can come up with something  |

 Hopefully that worked. Salamanders ahoy! Not sure about a Slayer riding it (fits AOS fluff i guess)... However the Salamander would make a mighty fine mount for a Chaos Dwarf Lord  I worry for the price but miniature wise this is a great release imo. For slayer fans these fit perfectly with the existing Warhammer Fantasy aesthetic. |

If you do a pro 8th Edition pdf for any AOS unit it should be this fatty i reckon. Can't wait for this release. Honestly first AOS miniature release which has really grabbed me. I guess it makes sense given Dwarfs are my main army. I really like the 8th Edition Dwarf army book. These releases will make fine additions to it I'm basically ignoring the AOS background for this release and bringing these guys into my own Warhammer world. |

They look supremely cool! Like you, I'm really worried about the cost though. That Salamander looks like it could be $100 by itself! And from what I've read, they'll be selling the Fireslayers in packs of 3. I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't put it past GW just so that people have to buy tons to attain some semblance of that picture. Oh - and round bases.  I really like the look of that Orange Salamander! Looks like a Chinese Dragon!  Is that a Runesmith/Slayer on the Black one? |

I don't get how or why a DWARF would RIDE a CATHAY type dragon??? Seems wrong on many levels. Very un-WFB that I know and love. But feels right on the "that looks cool, drool" level. That's a fine level, let me tell ya. |

That's a fine level, let me tell ya. In AOS Grimnir fought the father of Salamanders and they killed each other or something like that. That is the link. The art depicting the battle is actually really cool. A great fire drake mount is imo much more fitting for a big hatted Chaos Dwarf. |

Hold up, these might suck Yeah that photo looks terrible. Shields and slayers don't mix imo. Also blond hair bleh. Apparently there are 2 different box sets coming. A 10 man and a 5 man of Heathguard i think. It's the Salamander box I'm interested in anyway. |

OMG, that pic is horrible! They have beady little eyes, their hair/manes/beards look terrible, and...SHIELDS?!? Are these supposed to be Slayers or what? If not Slayers, why aren't they covered in armor? That paint job is VERY amateurish! Not something I'd put in a magazine! I'm even having a hard time believing that this is a GW pic.
