Have been wondering if anyone here plays Flames of War other than I, it is a fun historical WW2 miniatures game in 15mm rather than 28mm. I have been thoroughly enjoying it and its sister game Team Yankee lately, and was curious if anyone else on here enjoyed it too. Here are some pictures of my beautifully commission painted Polish Home Army

I don’t play it but it’s reasonably popular at the club though art de le guerre (ADLG) is probably the most popular non fantasy/40k game

I had lots of Flames stuff, terrain, all painted. I lost interest in it as I had nobody to play against and recently sold my entire collection to boda317.

I play it. It's a great game. Problem is I play too many great games so I don't play any one game too often.

Sounds like a lucky guy to get such a good deal I play it. It's a great game. Problem is I play too many great games so I don't play any one game too often. I definitely feel that pain, between Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, 8th Edition, Flames of War (Early, Mid, and Late are all practically separate games to boot) and Team Yankee it is hard to keep up.

Agreed. For me its 8th edition (fantasy), Warhammer 30k, Flames of War (I just play late war), Lord of the Rings, D&D, Mordheim, Rangers of Shadowdeep, and Frostgrave. Not to mention all the terrain building and painting that's associated with all those games (I'm a little traditional that way...I prefer to make my own rather than buy premade stuff that LOOKS premade; exception being when I'm first getting started in something and I'm looking for a quick easy start)

I've seen it played it looks amazing. It also seems like the types of people that are drawn to it are the ones that actually paint their miniatures; most all the games I've seen played were on painted boards with painted terrain with painted armies.
It looked suitably epic. I'd play but there's no one else around me where I live that plays; I'd have to drive a couple hours to get a game, and that's if they're even still playing.

It is epic, especially third edition Flames of War books. I mean, they have brought out new 4th edition books that are meh at best, however I figure that anyone on this forum has no problem playing a 'dead' game The listbuilding of 3rd edition FoW compared to 4th edition really is like 8th ed Fantasy to AoS unfortunately. A good way of playing it is on Tabletop simulator on PC. If you ever wanted to give it a try let me know.

I've just been looking up Art De La Guerre and looks a pretty good game that can be played with a number of different scales (I've principally got 1:72 figures so this especially appeals to me). Is there anywhere in particular that stocks the rules for it, as I can't seem to find it anywhere online?

Thanks for your help with this though

Thanks for your help with this though I posted on the club FB page and the answer was the rules are rarer than a rocking horse shit. It’s apparently out of print so pretty much second hand is the only way to pick them up. I’m sure PDF’s exist somewhere, scribed is often good for that kind of thing. Sorry I couldn’t help.
