Looks great! I was wondering, what do you make those huge "arrows" from and how do you attach the arm and leg sockets? I have one of these guys and he's metal. I'm a little apprehensive about simply using super-glue with the arms. I'll probably end up using a little Green Stuff and Super Glue mix, but I was wondering if you might have discovered a better way.

mottdon; I might have pinned the arms and/or legs, don't remember precisely, otherwise it's just superglue. The ball joints should fit the socket and make a good enough connection. For the arrows, it's some skeleton spears with plasticard for the feathers.

Alas no progress have been made on my Tomb Kings. Fear not though, they are not forgotten, just the regular "too many projects" going on so I haven't worked on them for quite some time. My friends have fallen to the lure of 40k newest edition so I had to follow suite, and had to dig out my old Tyranids army. So for now the old bugs are my priority, and while I love them (first army ever in the hobby for me) I really want to go back to fantasy eventually. There's a few models/units that I want to do so as soon as I'm bored with 40k I'll get back to it

Awesome. Looking forward to it!
(Also, post some pics of your Tyranids. I know they're not fantasy, but you never know where good ideas will come from and with a painter as good as you, I think a lot of inspiration may be gained.)

I'm glad this thread was bumped up, as I hadn't seen it before. Your army is amazing - one of the best. I love everything about it.

As mottdon says, please start a Tyranid painting blog if you don't have one already

Thanks guys for the kind words! I can certainly see about starting a Tyranids log if you want to see them, so stay tuned for that

Thanks guys! Glad you like Arkhan KevinC, I painted him up (with a few other characters) just a few days ago before posting him here, so he's brand new! And now, to finish up the characters for the army, here's the rest of them. Characters - MountedTomb Queen on Warsphinx - Converted Sphinx and Khalida with scratch-built throne; A better view of the throne; First off, the work in this thread is top notch all the way through. The painting and conversion skills on display are amazing. I particularly love this Tomb Queen on Sphinx conversion!! Was this ever painted and are there pictures of it fully complete?
