SCOUT IT OUT
In the early moments of their military campaign, opposing forces must send a probing force into enemy territory to disrupt operations, steal battle plans, and sabotage equipment and rations.
THE ARMIES
Each player chooses an army from a Warhammer army list, totaling 500 points.
THE BATTLEFIELD
Deploy terrain as described on page 142 of the Warhammer rulebook or use it as set up by the event organizer.
DEPLOYMENT
Players deploy their armies as per the Battleline scenario as described in the Warhammer rulebook (page. 144).
FIRST TURN
After deployment, players roll off to see which player takes the first turn. The player who finished deploying his army first adds a +1 bonus to his roll.
GAME LENGTH
The game lasts six turns.
VICTORY CONDITIONS
Victory Points as normal.
SCENARIO SPECIAL RULES
We made it sir!
Scouting Force
Each player will nominate one unit to represent their scouting force. This unit cannot have anything heavier than light armor/shield (no heavy armor), cannot be the largest unit in the army, and must be on foot. Discuss other appropriate unit options with the event organizer.
These troops gain the Vanguard special rule if they do not already have it. They are also -1 to hit with BS-based shooting to represent camouflaged cloaks, hiding under brush, or slathering mud on their exposed skin.
If the scouting force marches or charges at any point, they lose the -1 to hit benefit…their cover is blown!
At the end of the battle, any army with a scouting force at least partially in the opposing deployment zone and not fleeing will receive a bonus to their battle score. (.5 point)
