Lovely armyshot knoffles! Thats going to be one fantastic colored army! Have you thought about the “new” gw contrast paints? Think they might work wonders in that kind of army? Have not tried them myself so its just speculation. I do think they would probably work wonders to speed up the painting of the RnF models and even some of the big gribblies, especially I. The army but I won’t be getting them, at least for the moment, as I don’t want to outlay the money and I have enough paints for the moment 🤗

Were I starting a new army, I would probably go for the new contrast paints... assuming they're not stupid expensive, anyway.
Since I'm getting up to speed on my own lizzie army using conventional painting methods, well, it would probably be harder to figure out how to match the models I've already done by using contrast paints than to just roll on as I have been.

So because i'm on a roll this month, I've also finished a Scarvet on Carnosaur. Again I've gone with bold and bright colours. I'm loving the freedom Lizards are giving me on that front. Again there was a bit of sun so it was out to the garden. Don't go into the long grass!!! Your lizards are great - they really suit your painting style, as they look good with a relatively simple paint job, and they fit vibrant colours better than any other army.

This is the final big Lizard gribbly that I own, that i'm now counting as done. It was also the least enjoyable of them (well the Triceratops bit was fun - the howdah and crew less so). As I said in the monthly thread, I've gone back and added little bits of detail - skink eyes, silver to the stargate Engine of the Gods/plaques etc. This means I now need to start painting the RnF. I'll probably put that on hold and instead paint a load of dwarf RnF as I have around 40 miners / 40 GW warriors / 8 sword and board warriors (to make 40 in total) and 16 xbow dwarves (to round out to 60 odd) sitting needing some love. edit - as normal - it's annoying when the photos show up bits you've blatantly missed - spear sections in between skink hands!

Updating the plog with the Sarus reinforcements painted last month. This allows me to field 40 in a block as either hand weapon and shield or Spears and shield (or will do once I paint the final 2 models I found in the unpainted skink box)

The Coldone reinforcements painted over the last couple of months. These were painted with speed in mind as have a lot to get through before the end of Oct! First batch: Second batch, including 2 scar vets: The group shot:
